Hes not even close to to the best, he's a great person and I love him but be honest. He was done by 31 years old which is crazy young in boxing. I don't know if he' fought again after senchenko but he was only 34 in that fight and got wrecked by a light body shot. That's after his ko to Floyd and Manny. He is a great person and was a great boxer but he ran into the two best.

I don't know man, that last fight against senchenko didn't look good at all. I love Ricky but his time came sooner than most, he was done by 31 and that's not that old at all in boxing. Then he gets kod by senchenko with a body shot.....he's done he should be a trainer or something. Just because he can't fight anymore doesn't mean he can't be around the sport.
As a person with a 'man's job..truck driver..i respect the hell out of Ricky.. Always have but even more so now as I've been diagnosed with severe depression after a break up..his videos and words are helping me so much. Thankyou champ

What a gladiator - he fought for the fans more than three glory. A legend, loosing hurt him so bad, but always a champ to his fans, didn't change the respect they had for him

you need to go to the church, see how blessed you are, having wonderful family and friends financially stable. if u can see less fortunate people, homeless.. u got beaten by 2 best fighters in this generation. theres nothing to be ashame on that
What an absolutely top and decent bloke - it takes some balls to admit to struggling with stuff the way he has, folks think you're weak and a pushover, and you can't argue that someone with balls big enough to step into a boxing ring is in anyway some sort of a wimp. Good luck to him.
This guy is my uncle. I have so much respect for him and love him a lot. He is my inspiration in my family. I remember when he had these fights and the struggle he went through them. He is retired now and I see every few weeks. It’s such a blessing to meet a legend and be related him.
He needs to be a trainer or something, maybe an announcer. Just because he's retired doesn't mean he can't be around the sport. I'm sure people would love to learn from a legend like Ricky.

this is the perfect example of someone getting beat by themselves. he'll be a favorite of mine and many others for his style of fighting alone. he's a beast and to this day i wouldn't want to be a heavy bag anywhere near him.
There's no shame on losing to the 2 of the best boxer in world. Manny Pacquiao got knock down by Marquez, but he refused to let humilation hold him down. Istead he used as a motivation. Bless this man, I feel for the guy... So close to greatness, but never likely to get there because of bad habits. Maybe because I have equally bad habits which hold me back too, is why I feel empathy for him... Sounds cheesy, but I believe boxing consists in a very crude sense of just 'mind, body, and soul'. I think both Mayweather and Paquiao beat him 2/3 in this sense... better training and better state of mind. Had Hatton have overcome his problems, I reckon he'd have gone the distance and won against them because of sheer heart and determination... Geez but what do I know...

I said I was just an ex- British soldier. His security were very pleasant, and told me he WAS Ricky Hatton. What was that all about ?

Don't care much for manc's but when he got KO'd by manny, it done my head in, it reminded me of McGuigan getting beat years before. Hatton and Barry McGuigan were my boxing idols. 2 Gentlemen as well, absolutely world class fighter's and world class men.

+DonShei While I agree with your sentiments about is reasons for being happy, clinical depression has much more to do with brain chemistry than how one thinks. It can be as much chemical and hormonal as it is bad stuff that happens.
