haleigh the first listen was orgasmic!🤤😌 I don't need drugs, when I listen to Abel he makes me feel high just from the music and his voice..... No homo lol
Treeboy lol I broke my hip and I listened to The Weeknd high in the hospital it lifted my spirits so much and helped me through a dark place in life this so is super underrated
Some people say that these types of songs are underrated, but in my opinion, I think it’s better that way. These songs make you feel a different way, a different vibe, a special feeling that has deep meaning to it. If this kind of dark music was popular, everything it stood for, all the deep emotions that it portrays, like loneliness, depression, hopelessness, etc. would lose all of their meanings. Hearing these kinds of songs on repeat every day would make you sick of them and feel like the average cliche genre. In all, I’m glad that songs like these are our little secrets...
@@ScotianBloodedRicky hil is the typical case of child born into luxury and around alot of drugs and identity issues, which feels as if he related to the weeknds early work. You can tell the influence and subject matter that he resonated a lot with the type of person the weeknd catchter is.
The way he sings "She'll be alone when I leave her" in the beginning is my favourite thing about the song. It's a pity he doesn't sing any other lyric in that tone.
He’s my fav ever so I say this filled with sadness. He will never be able to sing with that much pain in his voice again. That is raw and can’t be taught and he’s rich and famous now so he’s happy!
I have heard The Weeknd collab with so many artists and all the time he dominates the song even to the point where you skip to his part and exclude the other artist but this one is an exception Ricky Hil had a great verse and of course Abel killed it like he always does.
All of ya'll hating on Ricky Hil, saying he's trash, and can't stand with The WeekNd on this track.. I bet you don't know that Ricky Hil wrote The WeekNds hook on "Pretty"... You think The Weeknd does tracks with anybody?
Because the sad truth is most people nowerdays have such shit taste in music. All they like is crappy teen pop music like one direction, miley cyrus, katy perry etc. Its so annoying :/.....But hey they're the ones missing out!
***** I'm in the UK too and i know loads of people who know the weeknd, and haven't you heard his songs getting played in the background on eastenders, i'll admit i was shocked at first since they usually just play like the top 40 when they're in the cafe or the vic but the weeknd's starting to get broader recognition, but i dunno maybe its just here in london where ppl know him.......
something about this beat, both the vocals combined, authentic and unique and intriguing. sometimes i dont even pay attention to the content; sometimes i just listen because the song sounds pretty, and the prettiness of the audible aspect is enough to get me hooked. mmm
Stephanie Myers yea i agree he's Unique, but i'm a lyrically person and he just don't have good enough lyrics for me i mean alot of what he say don't make sense. sorry to hate
well hes rich because of his parents that's the only reason hes signed lol u want to hear a bad ass rapper barely anyone knows listen to jaytekz every song he has outs good
Chris pippin that's not the reason why he's signed and has money.. he got disowned by his own parents, and met boo bonic at the age of 15. everything he has he got on his own, not getting daddy to pay for everything.
Cuz the weeknd went mainstream, which is what he talks about in rolling stone, he even released a letter talking about how this is his next move in his career ... Becoming mainstream
he is mainstream, i wish he would go back to this cuz now he will still get heard by millions cuz his name is now a brand and people will listen to him no matter what
The mainstream comes with a price he gets hella slack now. He said one edgy line in lost in the fire and had the media news outlets and angry twitter on him
+Karna Upadhyay LOL. First of all your stereotyping. Second if you grew up that rich you'd wanna branch out of that wack preppy life. Third he's a rebel in a rich family. Fourth your whack
@@whitneyangelie3682 I discovered The Weeknd last year's december and totally fell in love with his voice and music. I made up my mind to go through his every single work of music and today I discovered this. WHERE THE HELL IT WAS TILL NOWWWW!!!
holy fuck, now that im older now abel's verse really fucking breaks my heart 😢 the pain he sings with when he says "i do it all for a home.. for a night"
Will always be rooting for The Weeknd’s originality. His newest albums have been a little mainstream , but he never had to gift us with our connection to his music
+rambo502 same that's why people want his old self back you know. Hopefully he develops another drug addiction that brings him back to this version... I kid haha
this was the weeknd at his realest, im proud of where he’s at now but this is when he was at his most raw imo can’t believe it’s been 10 years+ time flies
@@NuSuntRaresh very true, you had to learn to understand him in his early projects which became addictive..I'm happy he transitioned tho as he's too talented and versatile to stick to this and now he packs stadiums
Ricky and Abel are my top two favorite artists. For YEARS i waited on a collab. I listen to this shit everday! If you dont like Ricky's music, you just can't relate to it..
thats the dumbing thing ive ever heard. Im from toronto, and been following him for years, he sold out to make pop music. there was a certain sense of youth and elusivness to his original sound, just like the drugs he sang about. Now its just shit that will sell, the art is long gone.
Hookah Mastaa That's not even close to true, that's just being ignorant. If he carves a certain niche for himself and then starts to instead make crappy pop music with Max Martin, we have no obligation to like it.
I’m still listening to this and will continue listening to this song in 2023. Glad even w tik tok being around nobody knows about this song and I think it should stay that way for all of us XO
@@PrinCesA159 He never got actual surgery. He got makeup to make it look like his face was reconstructed, only for the Save Your Tears video, as a means of criticizing his ex, Bella Hadid for her surgery. The video was also meant to parody a Grammy’s performance, so him having the “smile surgery” in a room full of masked people was probably just meant to symbolize how fake and meaningless the Grammy’s are.
Lol Im not hating on Ricky but he got in the rap game simply because he's the son of Tommy Hilfiger, this song is good but love me harder is good too dont hate..
Aliah Fisher Simply false. Collaborating with mainstream pop artists gives you a lot of new exposure from a very differnent audience. Tons of people learned from the weeknd from Fifty shades or the Kygo remixes or the Ariana collab. To deny that he's a lot more famous now despite of getting heavy media exposure is just silly.
