I really love how, at first it’s implied that Ricky is doing the selfie thing with Esther as a way to hit on her, only for it to turn out, no, that’s just how Ricky Matsui communicates as a habit.

I love how invested everyone at the table is when Esther is in trouble. Grown ass adults, terrified that their friend's imaginary girlfriend is going to die. It's beautiful.

It's really fun to have a character who doesn't really understand much academic or intricate magical stuff because the rest of the table can sit there and listen to it being broken down into the most basic ways of understanding. Like I actually knew the word Axiom but on the other hand I had no clue wtf Sinatra's Law was referering to and getting all confused.

these two remind me of Ursula and George from George of the Jungle. Ricky and George are kind hearted, beautiful men who adore the woman they love, hang on to her every word even if they can't understand it they try and make an effort. Ester and Ursula are smart worldly women, who have big hearts and more common sense who just love their beautiful himbo

Okay but straight up? Chapter 2 has some really adorable couple shit between them it's so cute
