when I was kid..I was at nwa card..Manny was teaming with rick rude..he came out signed autographs..ricky& robert were main event vs the midnight express..man wrestling was so cool..stacked cards ..nwa mid Atlantic was miles ahead wwf

Ricky is hands down the most hilarious dude I encountered in my 18 years in the business. If you walked into the back somewhere and saw Ricky, you knew some seizure-level funny shit was gonna either go down or be told about.

the first time I saw wrestling live was back in '85 in Tarboro. Manny was in the main event wrestling Cowboy Bart of the Long Riders and Bart had JJ Dillon as his manger.

Filmation77 If it really happened, then well... yeah. I guess Robert was brought up in the business thinking, "You hurt me, I hurt you". Plus, he's a young guy working with people he's never worked with before, and he's looking out for himself and his partner. I don't necessarily agree with it (if this story is true) but I understand where Robert is coming from.

If it was him, you'd have seen him fall off a couple of times. Gibson was kind of notorious for falling off aprons and runways.

Kevin Nash was responsible?? LOL!! If Kevin Nash wouldn't have been there, the same thing would have happened. The guy responsible was Hogan because of his heel turn. Hall and Nash helped, but they weren't integral. And Morton may not draw anything anymore, but back in the 80's Morton was one of the biggest draws in the US outside of Hogan.

bull864 Kevin Nash was too responsible he was a booker booked himself in main event matches he says so himself & yes Hogan was a part of it too. To this day i think DDP should have took the lead role in nwo not Hogan. If you take a look @ the nwo members besides Hogan there was Hall Nash & later on Curt Henning. Bring Henning in @ the start with Hall Nash & DDP. Why? The AWA connection. They just brought too many into the nwo

Footloose was Samson Fuyuki and Toshiaki Kawada. Not surprised as Kawada was known for being legit tough but having a bad attitude which is why Giant Baba never gave Kawada the ace position of All Japan over Mitsuharu Misawa.

Nash had mic skills?? Nash did the same interview his whole career. He cared a lot more about being cool than building up a match. He could have had decent mic skills, but he sucked because Kevin Nash was all about Kevin Nash, not the business. And Hogan rarely spoke?? Dude, did you actually watch Nitro???

No, I'm right. The NWO wouldn't have been successful without Hogan. Hogan was the perfect heel at the time. Hall and Nash were an okay team, but Hall was the only one who could work. Nash was a joke. He had the look, but that's it.

He also had the mic skills, very important in wrestling, Nash did ALL the talking for the NWO, hogan very rarely spoke, and he has about the same wrestling skills as Nash, ie, not much.

Yeah, he's a joke alright Please, Morton is one of the most respected wrestlers in the history of the business. There's an old saying that many wrestlers use, including STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN. That saying is "This guy sells like Ricky Morton" It's because he's regarded and respected as one of the greatest sellers in wrestling history.
