just fiished watching my favorite Ricky Nelson songs and found this by his sons. They sound just like their father, If you close your eyes you'd swear it was the late great Rick Nelson who I still love all after these years.
Keep Ricky Nelson music live, may God Bless Gunter and Matthew yaw are great! The whole family is the greatest. Ricky is greaty missed and his father and mother Also.
Gunnar and Matthew sound quite a bit like their father, which you would totally expect. If you consider that their grandpa, Ozzie, was a bandleader in the 1930's, then you realize that the Nelson family has been entertaining us for 80 to 90 years! It's absolutely amazing!
I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Matthew and Gunnar after their concert in Oneonta NY. They are the most personable, pleasant, down to earth gentlemen. They did not rush anyone through the meet and greet reception line. I could say so much more but will sum my comments with "PHENOMENAL GENTLEMEN". WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM IN CONCERT AGAIN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND VERY RESPECTFUL TO THE AUDIENCE AND FANS 👍👍👍👍
I heard about Ricky being booed off the stage and was horrified. I don't know what they expected but the crowd inspired one of his greatest hits. Thank you gentlemen for paying tribute to your dad. God bless
Great job guys!...In the story and rendition of a great song...Great music is timeless and thats another reason why Ricky had a #1 in 1972 because he was 32 when he did this! Which is still young!...But it just shows that age is not a factor in regards to putting out great music...whether if your 22 or 62!
Your grandparents were amazing especially your mother's dad . Unbelievable war hero who escaped death and a sports legend who gave birth to your beautiful mom . Your Dad would be so proud of his kids . Great musicians you've become 👍❤🇺🇸🎶🎶🏄🏻♀️
My wife and I were going to go to Rick's performance in Kitchener, Ontario. Unfortunately, there were to be no more concerts. Watching Gunnar and Matthew it's almost like a second chance to see Ricky. Eerie resemblance in appearance and vocals.
Yes, they sure sound like him and look like him especially their sister, Tracy!! Gunnar was on a show where he exchanged homes with someone else where he was the man of the house; other man went to Gunnar's home. I loved learning of his values there during the 1 hr. show. Your father walked up to my table when he was in Tacoma, WA, just prior to his passing. He was down to earth and sincere. Thank you for keeping your fathers music alive.
When they sing the words " I'd rather drive a truck" that's what Elvis had done before being discovered. I miss my Ricky so much. I went to sleep last night playing his last concert. Ricky was my first huge crush and I never got over him. R.I.P. Ricky. I love your sons.
life goes on beyond this one...am blessed to have seen it when my mother in law passed away. trust me and believe me when I say...Ricky was there and happy and proud of his sons keeping the love and his legacy alive.
My mother and I saw their show. They sound so much like their father. I am sure Ricky was smiling down on them. Gunner is so nice. I had just had surgery, but I was not going to miss their concert. I almost fainted standing in line for autographs. Gunner gave me a free cd and signed it for me. He made my day. Matthew was a little huffy, because I was talking too long, but it was my big chance to tell them what their family meant to me. I loved their sister Tracey in Father Dowling Mysteries and had to know about their Mother Kris. I found out she had died of a heart attack. I always felt their family were friends, being America's favorite family. I grew up watching Rick on Rio Bravo and Love and Kisses. It was so sad how Rick died. I will always love and feel close to the Nelson's.
This one great song and damn they covered it to perfection sounds like Ricky himself. What ever happened to rock? Once great now has go a stray, yet rhis one is timeless.

How come we don't hear more of these guy's? They are great. Sure brings back the memory of their dad.The popular music of today is not music, but just noise.
I agree that these guys are great, I was 8 when I bought my first album, and it was theirs in 1990. After the rain still sticks with me all these years later. But I also love the music you call “noise.” I was in a metal band in the early to late 2000’s. Music is subjective my friend. Everyone believes their generation was great. And that newer generations are “noise.” Music is music though. Once you get past the fact your music is not all there is, this newer generation doesn’t come off the way you think it does.
I think they look identical and resemble Ricky a lot. They sang really good too and don't understand why they never made it big. Rest in Peace Ricky your miss and loved to very much, by so many people. AMEN !!
Ricky Nelson was one of the greats....He and Elvis kept me happy. I watched his family show, Ricky was shy down to earth mom's boy....normal family God bless Ricky and family

saw your dad live at Hamilton place , Hamilton. Was a great performer and did a really good job working up a real sweat and sang his hart out. I am glad we got there.

And if the twins are reading I'd say thank you Gunner & Mathew for clearing that up, very interesting story as Garden Party's one of my all time favorites. Sad your father went though that but I'd say he made the best out of that bad situation with this awesome song. You guys do an great job singing it too & even sound like your father. So cool you're keeping the music & the memory of him alive. He gave us so much of himself , he'll never be forgotten. Also love your music from the 80's . I've been binge watching the Ozzie and Harriet Show in You Tube during the pandemic . Great Show. Ricky was sooooooo funny with his lines when he was about 13. He and David were such sweet guys. Tracy has that same soft side. She's the twin to her Dad . looks like him and has his way of speaking. These twins look more like Kris.
Nice to hear from a Nelson fan, Ricky and Sons. My wife and I were all set to see Ricky live in Kitchener Ont. at Lulu's a number of years ago.Unfortunately, he died just before his gig there. I did have the pleasure of seeing his sons twice. Amazingly sound like dad.

Thanks for this great download. I had a crush on their dad when I was about 6 yrs old. They do their parents well. Makes me sad their dad died so young. Every family has their issues. Glad they seem o.k. They are such a composite of their parents..Great smiles!!!!
Your both great, your Dad would be so proud. We went to Hollywood High School together. We were all kids and he evolved into a wonderful guy. Also, David was wonderful to. Miss him..both boys...thanks for posting.
Saw your dad in Toronto in a little bar in his last year. Love that you are doing this....keep it up. Have seen you at Fallsview and you are putting on a great show!
Just a thought! It looks like it was at the end of their program.....and if you look closely those who were walking out are older people who probably wanted to get to the parking lot and their cars before the crowd. I don't think it was meant to be a criticism of their performance.
I'm Irma, I love your beautiful music. The best of 50s, 60s ,70s, and 80s, I grew up with this music.. now I'm 54 years older.. God bless to everyone. Very handsome singers
