He was joking. It was that "I don't believe it's the worst but I'll just say it anyway because they fired me" joke. Everyone laughed because they got it.
Blessing in disguise LMAO? You did no research did you? Jaws 2 was a HUGE popular movie which made a lot of money and is well known to be one of the best sequels to a movie. He is just angry that he was no longer a part of it
It's one of the most well known sequels because of it's tagline: "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water". It's the best of the Jaws sequels(3 movies), but that's the only time I would use the word "best" to describe this movie.
His hair was dyed a darker color to closer resemble the kid who played Sean Brody in the first film. When he was let go after director Hancock was they tried to wash his hair back and it was green for awhile.
I don't go on RU-vid often but when I do all I watch are 6 year old clips of former tv stars from shows I can't remember the name of (he had a miniature train in his house, that's all I know).
Go watch the balsa-esque performance of the other brother (who, not too surprisingly, never did anything else after this) and tell me they fired the right person. I have no doubt there were people on that production who were mortified a few years later when word got out that they canned Ricky. The script sucked, half the teenage cast sucked, and -- unlike with Quint -- you couldn't care less (or even be able to tell apart) who got eaten because Jeannot and Carl did jack shit to properly introduce any of them.
They should have stuck with the original script and John Hancock as the Director but Universal Studios was not brave enough to make such a ballsy move.
