This is a fantastic review of the GR! I enjoyed it alot. Great sample pics too. With your partner’s “timeless” clothing and the film that you used, alot of the pics have a great nostalgic feeling to them. With Pentax’s recent announcement of their film camera project, I would try to find the money to buy a new film GR camera if Pentax chose to make it. I hope they decide to make a new film GR.
If you preferred the wide lenses these used, then they were a great camera in terms of image and operation. Many were sold new, but far fewer are around today. The camera deserved its quickly acquired reputation for being not durable and reliable over time for poor quality electronics. Today, buying one of these is a total crap shoot, as the idea of having one repaired has always been laughable.
