I’ve been saying it for years. Forza horizon has made a fortune with their free roam games. We really need a free roam motorcycle game. The crew attempted it with bikes added but the physics and sounds in the crew aren’t the greatest. Please make a free roam game for motorcycles strictly
Make it free roam, make it multiplayer, make the traffic feel realistic, have free roam races and add police that chase you if you speed / break the law. The crew was kind of fun but it gets boring fast. Basically make a realistic open world road rash lol.
@@xBlackRaiderx Lol dont forget trucks dragging trailers turning in front of you from the middle lane and coming to a full stop. So yes exactly, and also narrower lanes than gta 5, and traffic that does interesting stuff. Like dumb stuff and traffic jams and accidents and etc. Keep it interesting.
@@anderslarsen1321 Ironically, to me it feels like Ride 3 has a more realistic handling model than any MotoGP game, most of which have been developed by Milestone for the past several years.
Will Longden more to street tracks options for those who longed to ride in isle of man or macau gp for example, they get the chance to try it out in this game. For physics difference is much more subtle as in ride 3 multiple collisions won’t cause you to crash if done right.
The next step for this game would be free roam. That with dirt areas with dirt bikes and dial sport bikes in free roam would be awesome with the way this game handles. They would sell a lot more copies if they did that. They could do it the way forza does with their games

Right? I've never once ridden my bike from 20' behind it. First person, open world, cruising through roads in the mountains, forests, coastal highways, cities, on a bike that actually sounds like a real bike and not a weed whacker. Oh, and how about a bike that handles like an actual one instead of an arcade game. Is it too much to ask for?
I remember I used to look online to see who had fastest times on nurburgring circuit, for a while the fastest time I could find was 6min 59sec and I was shocked as my best time around the circuit was 7:48 on the trickstar zx10r and that was with one mistake.. I could never get a perfect lap I always made one mistake and it drove me crazy
Polyphony Tourist Trophy was very exciting at the time because the graphics was ahead of all other bike games and it was the first ever game that allowed you to compare the performance of bikes you can actually buy...and that was more then enough to blind everyone to the fact that it was nothing more then a motorcycle test ride simulator. You had to stay with-in ninty percent of the bike's limits (as you do on a real life test ride) to avoid the horrid car-like instability in the game. In my opinion, Ride 3 is better and if you re-play Polyphony TT now, you will agree
Sweet mother.. last racing I played was forza on the xb360 4/5 years ago. Before that tourist trophy, gran turismo on the ps2. I've been outta the scene for a bit.. just bought a ps4 for my son yesterday. I need this game in my life. Great review!
1 sport bikes (our focus) 2 did u play ride 2 ? 3 what is bmx? (othergames4that) 4 how’s about the multiplier? 5 🏍 every make and model in ride2 has a detailed history, making you covet even the bike you might have dismissed, similar to tourist trophy. 6 on and off track feel? 7 isit rough? isit tough? (Better than ride 2)
What happened to being able to slide the back of the bike out of corners. Seems they've dumbed down the physics somewhat since ride 2, which was great coming out of the corners just twitching the rear!!
@@MariaDiaz-rz7zh I have all assists off and pro physics don't get me wrong it's a quality game I just think sliding the bikes out of the corner isn't as good it seems slightly dumbed down apart from that I love it
@@RIBZ85 Exactly. Just feels like they have removed the part where you can make the rear wobble with the throttle (if you know what i mean) but if you go too far then its bye bye. Although saying that i have remembered that i have a mod on my ride 2 called physics mod,but am sure you could do it with the normal physics in ride 2 anyway. A shame if you ask me!
This is no biggest complaint, that always added an element of fun to ride 2. Only other thing that bothers me is the customisation is VERY similar to ride 2 and I had hoped for more options.
Definitely need something with realistic physics and customizable bikes, and open world, which makes me think back to midnight club, that but modernized would be juuuuust right 🤙
The game is awesome, in ride 2 you cant drag race if you dont have an specific bike, you cant race at night and the sound is waaaay better in Ride 3. Did you brake in a +260 km/h turn? Wtfffff. (15:23)
im quite fond of this game but its far from perfect which is typical of milestone. its a step forward but it has its annoyances. motgp18 has more ralistic pro simulation effects like wheell spin when traction control is off which makes you have to modulate it by 'rolling on' the throttle properly and timing it right with 'picking the bike up' out of corners. its more realistic and satisfying. in ride3 you can pretty much open the throttle from 0 - 100% when fully leaned over with traction control off on a litre bike and have pretty much nothing but grip from the rear? id like to see that in real life! the other thing i find annoying is why milestone didnt carry over the clutch feature from motogp18 with having to precisely release it when launching the bike. ride3 you click it into first gear as soon as you go. fucking hate that! its supposed to be a riding simulator.
I disagree.. Yeah, the smaller bikes won't get that wheel spin but the larger ones you do have to feather the gas to not spin or do a wheelie (when TCS and Anti wheelie is off of course).
@@beobe99 i disagree. I recently did a zx10r special event in which one race is at that Japanese track in the wet on a 2004 zx10r. I had pro physics on, tc off and anti wheelie on low and what i experienced was nothing like that of motogp18. If anything i got more 'hook ups' and wheelies than i got wheel spin and slides even with abrupt throttle use. Thats very unrealistic and simply would not be so on a real k4 zx10r. Thats my point.
@@chocobro2717 I'm going to retract my previous statement now that I got the Aprilia RSV4.. I swore the ZX10 was skipping out on me.. But the RSV4 is not (unless I'm going REALLY hard on a long turn) plus the anti Wheelie completely off still prevents you from looping it (unless you really try or if the road dips).
@@beobe99 yeah exactly right, in order to generate any wheel spin at all or slides you have to be so abrupt with the throttle! Its so un realistic. Assuming that you ride in real life, you would know that part of maximizing drive out of corners is modulating that wheelspin and timing the roll on with picking up the bike. Or roll on a little harder if you like powerslides! Its that element of riding that i find thrilling and its barely noticeable in ride3. Another thing i noticed today that annoys me is that the yamaha mt07 and xsr700 has no front brakes! What the hell milestone!? Lol
@@chocobro2717 I am enjoying it! But do have my complaints. I could be remembering wrong, but I don't remember the AI's being such a pain in the ass. They run a tight single file like a blocking technique or they bunch up. That, and I don't remember being taking out by them so much if I do get a block / pass. It sucks, because once I get passed them I'm gone! But getting passed them is a pain in the Dupa! Also, on Isle of Man (which should be illegal in real life) I got shoved into a corner and backing up was complete BS. Other than that I LOVE the Livery creator.
The trouble with the livery editor is some bikes don’t allow you to put layers on certain painted areas. For instance with the Honda blackbird you can only cover part of the front mudguard not all of it and same goes for the tank despite stretching the layers. There is no way to move the layer to cover the area. Get the blackbird and try adding layers. This is not the only bike I’ve tried this with and had the same issues. For this reason I’ve given up on the livery editor. It’s a joke.
I wish developers would quit simplifying/dumbing down features. That bike tuning looked like MXGP1. The simplified rider style is disappointing. I would love to see some more weather options. I don't think you showed any here, but you talked about them. We've got day/night, clear/rain, cloudy/mud (in the MX games at least). Have other times of day would be awesome. Bring in dynamic weather. Let it go from clear to rain to whatever else if you want it to. Have maybe light rain and heavy rain. Same for mud. Have cloudy and, like, fog. Have snow on certain tracks. This is the only game like this, there's no reason they shouldn't be putting every feature they can into it. I'll definitely be picking this game up though, might be delayed, but bikes are awesome. And I can only build so many damn tracks in MESX before I need something else to do XD. I think one thing you and the other prominent RU-vid people that play milestone's games should do is to give the games' good aspects more praise, as well as whatever grievances we all might have. Maybe that will help keep features through sequels.

I bought if for cheap, in a bundle with MotoGP 19. The biggest issue, aside from the horribly inconsistent and absolutely bonkers AI, is that the motorcycles, at least the road ones, simply don't turn. Yeah, you can alleviate that a bit, but it feels like they're not on the tarmac, that they're floating. They simply don't decelerate off throttle like they're supposed to.
Is there any bike racing games that are actually fun to play without having to know everything about bikes and the perfect settings and all that technical knowledge? I don’t wanna have to research and study a bunch of info just to play a game. I do enough work at my job.
I saw a post saying the physics are dumbed down a little, is this true? I won't get the game until after xmas when I have time to play,but I want to know what to expect...
"Normal" physics are better than ride2, but as soon as you are going into the "extreme" regions (trying to power-drift; or to slide into corners, as in supermoto) then the new engine is worse than ride2's
I will give this review a B. Maybe a B-... Would love to know how the handling model feels like, in comparison to other bike games and Ride 2, for example. But certainly not a bad review.
ai is stupidly aggressive and ride like you aren't even there, if you're in the way, you go down, if you bump into them you go down, there are still some glitches with bike upgrades, like dissapearing exhausts and brake discs, all bikes come from factory on tires far worse than what some bikes irl come with. i wouldn't wanna try and keep a 200hp machine on the road on pirelli rosso3 tires. some bikes come from factory with quickshifters but not in the game, there the quickshifter needs to be purchased every time, and it doesn't even sound like you have one installed afterwards. also, why bother with having 2 brands of quickshifters, and 2 brands of fuel management computers if they cost the same and have the same stats. some other nitpick of mine is the visual upgrades like handlebar or brake levers, you dont get to choose any different kind, you can just paint the original ones... how about shorty's, fold ups, etc. then in the brake section i'm kinda missing a brake master option, i'm a firm believer that a brembo rcs19 would be a lot better than some standard brake pumps. on the track list side, i had expected to see the full range of motogp tracks since milestone makes the motogp games they surely could throw these tracks in without issue. don't get me wrong it's still the best motorcycle game out there and i've played over 70 hours but i wish it was more in line with real life in some aspects.
Yeah, that's part of the problem, Gran Turismo went from a fun game to a chore. Ride 3 has done the same thing. They've completely ruined the series By adding motorcycles be taking away any kind of fun experience. Polyphony digital and milestone both know that people will blindly buy their product no matter how bad it is.

I have to get this. It really seems like the Forza/Gran Turismo of motorcycles, and it has my bike in it (2002 Honda 919) which is quite rare. I never thought I'd see it in a game.
Hi there can you get Harley brand or cruiser bikes as well. The customization is average, I doubt you can put a 20inch tyres on the rear and add drag racing chassis for customization. Also Ive seen in real life people swapping sport bike engines into cruisers etc. OMG I wanna ride a Rocket 3 on this game haha. I hope Honda crf 250 cc is on there hehe
if it had a track editor and a challenge editor (like you do something and other players online can try and beat you and set a new record or something like that) i’d be buying the game now
WHAT ABOUT THE TRACKS and how many/what variety do they have? Can you customize them? Your so stuck on the bikes you neglected the rest of the content!
I dont get why these studios just dont colaborate with car games studios and make a complete racing game, i loved PGR 4 because of the ability of riding motorcycles and cars at the same time, like horizon with both cars and bikez would be perfect, not like that shit crew, no, like how they made horizon, almost 100% sim with the freedom to do dumb shit with your friends but with a gameplay that can challenge you, also, if they make a game fortnite style, like its free to play but some cars and skins for the drivatar, sounds, emotes, parts, decals, parts of the map etc they could make a game that would bring all of the comunity to one game and have allways something new and a evolving game. Oh another thing, having a open world game but with a twist, add a stadium or a circuit track to the map where you can go and when you get in you can choose any track in the world( mugello, nurburgring etc) Would be awesome as well to add brand stands where you could enter and buy cars or bikes and costumize them.
Loving ride 3 great track line-up and the Ulster gp track is quality, having the option to go for frame rate or resolution on the one x is nice as well.
@@tuomas6554 then compare it to something more applicable like motogp. Comparing this to mx sim, which focus on different disciplines entirely won't get you farther than "well they both have bikes"
Drag racing, but they haven't included the big muscle bikes like the Hayabusa or zx14. I feel the Suzuki line is incomplete without the 'busa or SV650, two of their most iconic bikes.
For me I had to upload it online, then I could select it to copy it to the bike I wanted to use. Maybe there was another way, but that is how I did it.
also if you wanna farm credits, play the career until you unlock the endurance races, one of those netted me 250K credits in a single 20lap race. granted that took me about half an hour but it's a quarter of a million credits...

I don’t like the career mode. It forces you to complete the races on bikes you might not enjoy. I have no interest in the classic bikes like the 2 strokes. I’d prefer to race the 600s. Also it feels like the supermoto tracks are way too narrow. Another thing that bothers me is how you can’t put the bike in gear before the countdown. And if you go to a complete stop the bike will automatically go into neutral even when it’s set to manual.
NIBV Yeah. Found out how to get a lot of money to buy better bikes. Go to quick race and select drag race. Put the 3 other ai on slow bikes and put their difficulty to the highest setting. Keep winning the drag race and get over 1000 every time. Press B to restart after you see your time and points. I just do quick races now.
