I wish Henry could have a meeting with the council about allowing him to put rides at the top of the fair like it always was in the past . Everytime i see it , it looks incomplete. It doesn't make sense . Rebuild the funhouse , top left corner !!!
Fantastic, Thanks mate. I love Barry Island, ever since I came as a little boy I have loved the place, I remember the old steam trains and Butlins including the cable car and I am hoping that with everything Henry is doing the magic can come back.
Such a shame about the gold mine really looking forward to it being rebuilt. Pws need to get this dodgem it's taking forever! Was on topscan with Theme park review on Saturday and yanto did his job absolutely perfectly! Great update mate!

The moment I heard those imortal words The Wacky Goldmine being dismantled and relocated elsewhere sent me into a right state, thinking that Nooooooooooooooooooooo, not that ride, not the ride that has been part of Barry Islands history since the dawn of time is being removed. It has to return to it's former glorious state, and should have been up an running by now, if it wasn't for the overstretched delay of the new dodgem roof. Love the vlogs, good, bad and the downright depressing ones, which are few and far between. If memory serves me well, was there not a ride called The Revolution where you sat in an enclosure where the side gates were rolled shut and it went round and finally was turning vertical, also, I remember The Traum Boot, now that is a step back in time. Hasta La vista Mr D. And don't forget your mic next time. Haha
While I totally understand concerns for parents and staff and Ty Hafen, what Henry whats to do there is better than what could be there. I have been to Danters in Symonds yat and it is lovely there . Nothing like what people think.. Its not a party place or anything like that and I am sure it will be the same in Sully. People are not realising that that area could be used as a industrial park and the noise throughout the day and pollution would do more damage. It will only be for the summer months not all year. Dont get me wrong I am all for the nice peace and tranquility for everyone in Ty Hafen. I have looked at the plans Henry has submitted and in all honestly it is much better than what could be there.. So long as Henry does not cut down that bit of woodland between the site and Ty hafen. TBH I would much prefer it to be on the island somewhere to bring more business to the island itself. The toilets would be great as a 3 story hotel too Buut thats just me. :) Don't get lost or squashed Steve.. BTW.. I still have my dads books here for you.. Need to arrange a coffee date on the island to give them to you :)
Very True, a camp would be empty throughout the day. It'll be interesting to see how it all unfolds? Looking forward to seeing your dad's book I never know when I'll be about at the moment it's crazy here. I'll defo give you a message when I plan a day down the front & see if you're available 🤗
Windy catch up Steve.💨💨. Must admit I'm with you on the gold mine. After all the hours of hard work I'm gutted to see it being dismantled. Suppose if the new dodgem is not coming till the end of summer the Gold mine will have another winter open to the elements. Least now it's going to be stored till they get a roof for it. Will be visiting barry tomorrow staying in the tadross looking forward to a good old mooch about the town and island hoping the sun comes out as its been a bit crap in Edinburgh 😅

@@TheDudgies I’ve been and cause it’s a weekday top scan log flume aero space roller coaster was shut witch was a shame bc really wanted to get on top scan but I went on waltzers disco fever and graviton and twister
Thanks for the update and vlog My guess is they will utilize the space with other rides etc as it is a dead space creating zero income I imagine they will have something else up and running fast and in time for the busy season Regards from Florida

Steve why are the council charging coaches £35 a day for parking. Twice this week I’ve been to the island bringing about 89 passengers on the two excursions. Ask Henry if he could cater for coaches in his fairground. Even he he charged £25 a day. But £35 is rediculous thanks
