I'm a Harley rider for over 40 years. Currently have 2023 FLHTK anniversary model. Absolutely love the Springfield and considering purchasing this year. Great video, keep up the good work.🇦🇺🇺🇸

Really appreciate the kind words! Have you had a chance to demo the Springfield? Are there some similarities with the FLHTK? Hopefully you can get one. I’ve enjoyed every minute!

I purchased a sagebrush green 2023 Indian chieftain last February. And I love this bike. But every time I see someone riding a Springfield I doubt my choice just a little bit. That is such a beautiful bike.
@AnywhereRider

Hey Kris, thanks for the comment. So I’m curious, what makes you question? The Chieftain is killer too.
@krismerchant4982
@krismerchant4982 6 месяцев назад
You’re right it is killer but there’s something about those classic lines of the Springfield. All that chrome it’s just a unique looking bike. I think I was afraid that if I bought it, I would stick out too much I had never had a bike with a fairing. I think that’s what made me lean toward the chieftain. Knowing that there was a 116 engine versus 111 engine, I think I thought I would regret missing that speed and that power. Something tells me that the way I ride I wouldn’t have cared.
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 6 месяцев назад
@@krismerchant4982 like you, I’m new to a fairing myself. My Pursuit is the first. So the Springfield was a natural for me. I’ve ridden the Chieftain too and love it as you’d expect. The wind protection is maybe not as good as I have on the Springfield, surprisingly. An aftermarket taller windshield would fix that though. But I do have to agree, the classic lines are great. Oh, and night riding with aftermarket LEDs…absolutely perfect!

I'm riding a 16' Springfield with the wife on the back 99.9% of the time. I'm really intrigued with Urals. I can see myself exploring back roads with my dog in the sidecar.
@AnywhereRider

I love the idea of my dog coming along. I have two but neither is well suited. One is just too nuts, the other old. But if I had the right dog buddy, I’d be right there with you! A side car somehow fits the mojo of a Springfield/vintage.

Adv was the route I took, growing up on dirt bikes made the decision for me, I loved the look, stance and power of the vstrom 1000 so I picked up the 04 model and ride that almost every day, in the future I’ll prolly trade it out for a big ol’ touring bike then I wanna have a absolutely stupid track bike and a fun dirt bike, so I plan on having three bikes at all times one day, and prolly a Tacoma to take the dirtbike around, until then though I’m gonna ride ride my awkward middle ground between all three. Great vid stay awesome man.

I like the way you think! Let’s get one of each! Ha! I enjoy riding and taking to my motorcycle friends. - I like the Vstrom 800de I rode. Really impressive I think. Very comfortable ride, smooth response. You ADV guys may yet win me over. :) Glad you’re out there and appreciate your comments!

The joy and excitement of getting a new bike trumps any remorse over trading an old friend away. The only time I had major remorse was trading down after my wife lost her job.

I have a 2005 Yamaha Road Star midnight that I bought brand new. I really love my bike but my next one is going to be an Indian Springfield classic like you have. I just have a thing for those valanced fenders. Ride safe.
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 6 месяцев назад
Hey Keith! Thanks for reaching out! Yamaha Route 66 was my first bike and my last bike (V star) before the Springfield . Nice and fun bikes. - so the fender, it’s a love or hate for many. I like it, obviously. I think it looks unique and distinctively Indian. Harley guys sometimes look at it with disdain because it doesn’t look like a Harley. I say oh well, it isn’t. And that’s alright with me. Choices make the sport even more fun! Glad you’re out there. Thanks for watching and contributing!

Riding my 2014 Indian Vintage in 38degrees, North of Boston in February. "Buyers remorse"?? I believe if I traded mine for new, I might sorely regret it. As for a Spring 2024 ride in Ma., route 2 Mohawk Trail group ride, but the total # of brothers have not yet committed. Likely 5, possibly more than 10 thinking on it. Laconia, N.H. is also on my radar.

Good to hear from you. Thanks for the comment! I love the vintage as you’d expect. And you’re tougher than most! I love my heated suit and have been riding at 29. So I’m with you there brother! - I’ve not ridden in the New England area but I’ll get up there at some point! Just need a reason!

My first bike was an 01 Honda Shadow 750ACE that I rode for about 10 years. I got a Pursuit and sold it to make room in the garage. It was surprising how attached I was to that bike and all the memories that went with it.
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 6 месяцев назад
Have you had any thoughts of throwing one back into the garage for an occasional ride and for nostalgia?
@ChadGrimes
@ChadGrimes 6 месяцев назад
@AnywhereRider no, it was time to move on. The egos were wrong for me, and it's not easy to find aftermarket parts for a bike that old. If I get another bike it would probably be a Royal Enfield. So many cool cheap bikes. I like the himalayan, and I had they are releasing it with a bigger motor. Might be fun to run around in the mountains on it
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 6 месяцев назад
@@ChadGrimes I can see your point there. Still nice to look back sometimes. My first wasn’t a great motorcycle but I always thought the paint looked terrific! It was a golden cream color, w/ golden flake. Only a 250 so it didn’t have a ton of power but I didn’t notice it. If someone had a perfect one on the back of a truck I might be tempted to snag it. But I don’t think I’d go looking. - as for the RE, I see that too. Cheap bikes can be nice for no worry commuting, etc. and smaller, lighter. The new Triumph Speed 400 or Scrambler 400 might be another consideration. They should be shipping soon and under 5K NEW. I’d love to compare those to a RE (which I’ve not yet ridden)

I picked up a 2015 Honda Interstate in December because it was on sale, but it’s been cold and snowy here in Michigan, so it has been in the garage. I plan to do a ride out to Mt. Rushmore this year at the Fourth of July. I’ve always wanted to do it but never have; I plan to change that this year. I’m 57 and I’m not getting any younger.

It's great when there is a break in the winter weather allowing us to ride. Looking forward to the riding season and have been planning some trips. So far, I know I am going to take a trip and ride some in Arkansas, Tennessee, and possibly Utah. Still debating the western trip.
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 6 месяцев назад
Definitely! I’ve been talking to a friend about an early June camping trip to Arkansas. Interested? Utah would be a great time. I’d be tempted to fly and rent on western trips unless the highway was part of the trip. (Still working that out in my own mind). Same with FL. It’s so inexpensive to fly that I wonder if the cost in miles and hotel are better than the alternative. Either way, I’m ready to GO!

I don't have a bike yet. I'm 60 and have taken and passed the Rider's Safety Course. Looking for a very comfortable bike to cruise around town. I'm waiting for my local dealer to get one so I can test ride it.
@AnywhereRider
@AnywhereRider 4 месяца назад
Doing that course is a great start. If you ask 100 people for a great bike for the purpose, most will choose their own. It’s a very personal thing. Obviously I’m a huge Springfield fan. Some might suggest that it’s heavy for a town cruiser. I don’t agree with that at all. There are lighter bikes and many choose an adventure bike for that reason. I can see some appeal to them but the lack of wind and bug protection keeps me from looking more at them. Triumph makes some awesome modern retro bikes that would be great choices too. But for me, the Springfield; take the windscreen or leave it, I have riding perfection :) - I hope you find the same

Thanks! I totally agree with you. Hopefully, my Indian dealership will be getting at least one Springfield soon. I also will be looking at Triumph and BMW. But I think after I ride Springfield and really like the ride, I won't need to test the others.

@erolyalim2911 I’d love to hear your thoughts when you make your choice. It’s always fun to see what people gravitate to. I was sold before even riding my bike. I sat on it and it FIT me. After the ride it was only the matter of choosing the color

@@AnywhereRider Unfortunately, my local Indian dealer in Fort Lauderdale which was 0.9 miles away closed permanently a few days ago. Now the closest dealer is in Miami 43.1 miles away. It's too far away from me to go there especially for service if I bought an Indian Springfield. I hope Indian opens another Dealership in Fort Lauderdale so I can go there and test ride the Springfield.
