Ride the High Country Trailer - Directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring Randolph Scott, Joel McCrea, Ron Starr, Edgar Buchanan, R.G. Armstrong. An ex-lawman is hired to transport gold from a mining community through dangerous territory. But what he doesn't realize is that his partner and old friend is plotting to double-cross him.

My two favourites, Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea, in the same film. What a peach of a film it is. Fantastic Western.

One of the last gasps of the classic Hollywood western. Ironically, director Sam Peckinpah is not even mentioned. The film was eventually taken out of his hands by the suits at MGM but he'd introduce a new kind of western which radically changed the genre with his later The Wild Bunch. This would be great to see in wide screen (CinemaScope).
