Great video again Stephen and thanks for posting! Absolutely terrible decision to have Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to switch on the lights! I believe he's 'designed' or 'reimagined' some of the illuminations but they're not exactly the most brilliant, creative or unusual lights? Perhaps a poorly child from a local hospital would have been a better choice and I'm sure they would have loved it too.
Once in Blackpool when this was on it is absolutely mind blowing to see,so many people having a good time and it's free.,love Blackpool had my honeymoon there many years ago,,some friends had a b& b on Albert road had some really happy times there.....
Cycling used to be a really big thing back in the 70s and 80s, but due to overpopulated roads and traffic has seen a decline. I love watching ride the lights, i think this would make a good event for Blackpool long term and maybe more often and an added stretch in the sring mornibg from st annes to cleavleys for tjose adventurous enough. Thanks Stephen x
Really enjoyed seeing all the lights. I used to visit Blackpool illuminations when I was young in the 1960s. Brought back lots of happy memories. Excellent video Stephen🤗 love your channel.
Brilliant video Stephen, as per usual of course. Coming up in October for illuminations for a couple of days. Might have to ingest in some walking boots I think.
Well done on another epic "Ride the Lights" pal! This year seemed busier than last year. Lovely sunset, and great views of all this year's illuminations. Great job! 🙏
Loved this video Stephen as well as your recent Stanley Park video too. This gave me a good insight into the nice hotels in the area too, because your videos have inspired me to visit my beloved Blackpool again for a few days in November after a 14 year wait. Can't wait!!
Haha I was on your video 3 times as I did ride the lights on my E Scooter with LED lights on it & I had a Home made LED high viz vest & my Home made LED Hat my bike needs fixing & Me & Stella could not do it together but next year we both will defo be riding it together
i remember in the 70s those bill board type lights going down the full length of the illuminations and all those big ones on the lamp posts either side of the road which made it look like you were looking down a light tunnel
Nice one Stephen. Maybe next time start video with the sun setting then start bike ride as illuminations hard to see with the daylight. The rest was great. Thanks 😊
Great video of the ride you've done and no crashes 😊👍what a great turn out of people riding I so want to do it next year hopefully thanks Stephen stay safe
Blackpool promenade is quite spectacular with all the big colourful hotels from north to south, however i was a bit disappointed with the illuminations from the tower down to the pier not as good as they used to be when there was funny faces, dancing girls ,animals etc all manner of different lit bulbs, now it seemed quite bland.......There was so much congestion at times with the riders you did very well Stephen to avoid bumping into others, and kudos to you how you keep up a running commentary .......Enjoyed the video very much.
You can still see the sandy beach it's built on under noahs ark if I remember rightly, the mechanisms that make it rock is sat on sand, you used to be able to see this at main entrance through a viewing window. I don't know if you still can anymore.
Just saw myself on the opposite side to you 25mins into the video 😁 it was such a fun night, first time I’ve done ride the lights, I loved it that much that I went round twice and rode over 21 miles, I’ll be doing it every year 🚲😄
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always you are a real trooper very good video the illuminations are beautiful i can't wait until the switch on Friday have a great evening xx
WOW im only a minute in and already spotted whoever it was that had the lit-up bumper car style transport that was FAB! I'm sure you will comment later on in the vid if you catch up or see them. TBH that was just great to see at this point in the vid as it was Imaginative and not just a bike or a bike with lights on! BRAVO to them for the imagination and doing it! I HOPE more folks will take that Initiative in the future to ride the lights as things like that make it more interesting and a spectacle for folks along the seafront! AND promote the ride the lights event! and OBV It gets bigger and more popular as the yrs go on ..if so then Blackpool council will prob have to extend it beyond the 3 hrs and make it a yearly event posibly spread over a couple of days to accomodate those that want to do it as its getting more and more popular ! Once again a top-notch video of ride the lights by you Stephen as per Usual you NEVER let us down with events like this ! thats why a subscribe as you keep me up to date on whats going on in Blackpool as i said before my holiday destination as a kid from Manchester and even though im down Bristol i still like to keep tabs on what's going on in my fave holiday place!
Wow, Fantastic, love Blackpool and the light's, I am surprised the council have not started to cash in on the bike ride's, you know charge all these people a £1 for cost'e etc etc, lot of cash to be made here, just a thought. you know what there like.
A fun ride the light. Such a s shame with all of these political correct organizations that put a stop to Certain illuminations that have been there for years. Enjoyable bike ride Stephen 👍
Second comment incoming as i just rewatched the beginning again.. I CANT BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY REMOVED THE TOTEMPOLE ILLUMINATION... Im actually outraged, its been there since i was a kid in the 1990s, damn woke.
It was all great until some DJ and a tiny handful of friends decided to have a loud Drum n Bass party right by the Bispham toilets until nearly 1am. Not sure who thought that was a bright idea :/
Really enjoy the content but saying YEAH! every couple seconds for no reason is some what annoying sorry just being honest not hating. Keep up the good vids 👌
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen hasn't 'reimagined' the most unusual, spectacular or novel illuminations has he? Just seem to be overuse of colour-changing Led's nowadays, not much effort put into the designs at all!
Everyone would agree it would be great to see the Tower in 🌈 colors which would help promote Pride. Well done those officials for removing the Red Indian illuminations, I'm sure they offended countless generations.
Nutcase NO! Trying to infaltrate a decent family English video with you're nonsense. We're alright we don't need to be illuminating our historical buildings with weirdo foreign propaganda. Have a nice day yall...it's a bike ride grow up?..I'm trying to keep it decent Stephen but wtf? Everyone doesn't agree
@@robbflynn4325 I'm amazed and also saddened that someone would complain about this tableau and then the council bows down to the 'offended' and actually takes it down.... Ridiculous!
@@number6ix929 at the same time pushing a harmful dangerous and toxic narrative which is damaging to our children. Glad I’ve got more life behind me than in front. Never used to feel like that.
