Riders left dangling upside down on Portland amusement ride 

Portland firefighters rescued around 30 people trapped upside down on a ride at Oaks Park Friday afternoon. The ride "AtmosFear" was stuck approximately for 25-30 minutes. The ride was NOT stuck for 15 minutes it was stuck for 26. Me and my sister were both on the ride when this happened.

Not the first safety issue Oaks Park has had. 18 years ago, an attendant did not put the restraints over my son and I on a roller coaster. We did the ride in terror as they couldn't fix it. I was badly bruised and my son would've been thrown out of his seat if I wasn't holding onto him. The park was dismissive about it afterward. No one seemed to care. They finally paid me $1,000 after the state got involved. I could have gone to the media.

I was with my friends on the ride, eleven of us all together. people were crying a lot, and we were stuck there for 25+ min. Thank goodness for all the firefighters and help from everyone ❤. Almost died guys

I've been on that ride numerous times there at Oaks Park, and it is fun, but I can't even begin to imagine the fear they all went through.

Somehow the asambling mode must be activated. The engines can get to this to asamble the counterwight. But that is by very slow speed. So the enginebreaks get in. Its not a lucky swing and be in the middle perfectly balanced.
