on Ridge Racer Vita, it's not the Kamata Angelus anymore, they stopped doing that after doing the Kamata SYNCi according 2 it's profile, it is now the Zihua Archangel which oddly resembles a Ferrari F50 if you look carefully
Same here- I'd love to see a Kamata Fortune return as well. Also, I have this idea where the Crinale has special tires that heat up more, so the wider angle you drift, the more grip there is. That way, it has an advantage on technical tracks where it would usually blunder against the Angelus- a lot of the lost speed gets quickly taken back as the hot tyres propel the car forward faster.
image if the people from the former evolution studios (the creators of motorstorm and Driveclub) teamed up to make the next ridge racer. the graphics and car sounds would be amazing!
@KFNBX10 - I base this off of the tunnels - Downtown Rave City in particular. I know Rave City Riverfront has a different type of tunnel so it can't be that. The reason I think it's a variant is because the classic two Ridge Racer courses, from RR and RRR, were renamed later to their current forms, with a different name for each different track (Sunset Drive - RRR Easy, EX Revolution Road - RRR Expert) - similar to what happened to the Ridge Racer Project (Rave & Rage) tracks.
I bet most of the developers initially thought Unbounded was a bad idea. If only they followed that thought... I'm sure they came to realize that, after release, it really IS a bad idea.
Wow. That's sad- the cars don't "slide like a bar of soap" in the original Ridge Racers. They drift like they're on rails. If anything, they act like a bar of soap more in Unbounded. I played it, and it wasn't much fun. I don't mind realistic VISUALS in RR, but if it starts getting to the physics I'm gonna give Namco a piece of my mind. I think the problem is Bandai- it's like they're preventing Namco from doing their own work by leeching all of Namco's money.
I don't mind the look of the RR7 Crinale (although the blue triple boost should come out of all exhausts of the car, and the sleek look of the car gives some appeal IMO) but the RR7 Angelus is just plain hideous to look at. I don't even think that it should've been named the Angelus - even an angel wouldn't even drive that fast-but-POS-looking car! The developers should've added the RR6 Angeleus & Crinale to RR7 as DLC.
Also, is the second track a variant of Downtown Rave City? From what I can tell of the inside of certain areas (I've played the track on the 3DS) it seems like that is the case.
The Aurum Moon, TouyaShiro yeah it's crossbay tunnel. We already had Downtown Rave City and Rave City riverfront from psp so they added it in as the third track in the Rave City district. Tbh it's my fave too.
Not only that, but the design was all wrong! The normal paintjob has the Angelus logo, and when you use the one ith the correct logo, the number is 17, not 13....
What other things can't be seen? Oh, yeah. Where's the Angelus? When will we hear from Monstrous again? I think that Unbounded isn't a Ridge Racer. Also, some of the soundtrack is non-original. They put Skrillex in it. YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG, BUGBEAR.
man the 7th gen was a weird time for Sony: >losing Ridge Racer 6 to Xbox >losing Tekken exclusivity (Tekken 6) >losing mainline Final Fantasy exclusivity that they had since VII (FF XIII) > losing Tales to Xbox >losing Star Ocean to Xbox >Even a SRW game got an Xbox exclusive >and a ton of others Sony lost a lot of good will early on with game developers with the PS3 when they went into "arrogant Sony mode" Looks like Sony is back in that mode again now that the PS4 is in the lead.. We'll see how this fares for them with the PS5...
