I loved Taylor and Ridge together and after Taylor "died" and they nearly tried to hook up Bridget Ridge, I had to siop watching. The way everyone was hooking up with each other it became to gross for me. Stephanie said it best when she caught Brooke and Thorne together and called incestuous. She wasn't wrong.

Yeah for sometime yet he didn't stick with loving Taylor - he started to dream about Brooke and then he went back to Brooke some years back on the show.
He never dreamed about Brooke while married to Taylor....UNTIL Brad Bell rewrote the show in 2005. And he only went to Brooke when he thought Taylor was dead!!
Ridge never convinced me he loved anyone but himself. Caroline, and Taylor deserved 100 times a better man. Taylor was irrevocably psychologically injured by Ridge. She was my favorite character on B&B until they ruined her.

No, it was the test for Bridgette that was switched. There was never any question about Rick's paternity. Ridge just meant he was their "father figure".
I hated that whole Ridge/Eric & Brooke storyline. It was incestuous & stupid. And yes ERIC should be there not Ridge covering up for Rick’s shooting & not ruining his time with Taylor.
ENNE everyone thought at the time that Bridget was Ridge's daughter and Rick thought he was Ridge's too and when Taylor came back, Ridge and Brooke were together raising Rick and Bridget

@@LisaS1 yes, when Taylor came back the second time, that was the first time ever he chose Brooke for no other reason than Brooke but up until Taylor's second death in 2002, every time he went to Brooke it was only due to an outside factor, like what he says here, or when Taylor was out of reach or believed to be dead.. so as shown very loud and clear here and in tones of other scenes from 1990-2002 Ridge loved Taylor more and she was his first choice, that's why the events of 2005-2006 was a rewrite, if they had set the tone that having had time to except Taylor's death and creating a happy family and marriage with Brooke, he fell for her so much that now he prefers her over Taylor, it still would have sucked but at least it would've been logical and consistent to the past, but that's not what they said, they said that it had always been Brooke and he only married Taylor because of Stephanie's influence and as you can see, that is simply not true
There were times were she did eavesdrop on them and similar things were said but still refused to believe it and be in denial all along. Her dream pursuit of Ridge imo was just a fantasy like she admitted once that gave her strength to fight in life. The girl needed therapy 🤣
K never understood why Ridge felt he was responsible for caring for his brother & sister. Their father is Eric Forrester. He never had a problem with Ridge taking care of his siblings. Dumb storyline.

Ridge always loves the one he is not with more. He was never consistent. Brooke told Ridge that she wouldn't leave James to marry him because all he wanted was the kids. He told her that was not true he always loved and wanted her. So now it was because of the kids or because you had to manipulate Taylor. He tells them both what they long to hear.
