Looks and sounds just like the clock my grandma is letting me take to put in my home. She's moving and doesn't have the space for it. So I decided to take it since my grandparents bought it years ago back in the 70's. Love the westminister chime.
Nowadays the quarter hour sequence and hour strike on tuned set of bells are entirely recorded on electronic circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker and installed in quartz clock moments so that quartz clocks electronically reproduces the chime melody and hour strike sound like the same clock. Citizen, Seiko and Rhythm are well known brands for manufacturing such types of quartz clocks.
Sounds just like my Gramma’s 1952 Ridgeway grandmother clock before the mechanical Urgos movement was replaced with a battery-operated Kieninger movement. Hearing the Urgos movement chimes brings back nostalgia. :)
-sees and hears the bell and moon- Anounce: -As the moon shines upon us you hear the bell chime- i hope you are asleep from all those tiring activities we all wish you sleep well! Roamers shall be caught!
Sure enough you could pick one up at an antique shop or a yard sale. This one didnt cost me because it was given to me in my great grandparents’ will. Trust me, when you do get your hands on one, take great care of it.
this reminds me of the clock that my grandparents gave me. I don't know what brand it is, but this one sounds just like it. I think it might have a Jauch movement.
I just got this one myself, my clock repair man should have it to me in a couple weeks. It had oil put on oil, gumming it up. Can’t wait to hear it now that I’ve heard what’s going to sound like.
My grandma's clock looks very simular to this, but is More of a dark reddish color. It has Indian heads in the patterns around the dial, and small moons around the Tempus Fugit symbol. Also the brand/maker isn't so common, it has a stamp that says "DD."
*My grandmother clock suddenly stop chiming. I don;t know what to do. The last time I sent to a shop for maintenance, it costs me an arm and a leg. Any suggestions? There is a lever inside the box that has a piece of transparency wrapped over a lever that reads "Ferma Souneria". I raised it up and down but nothing happens. In all other respects, the clock is functioning ok.*
I could not tell you. That sounds very odd and I’d say just do some more research on it. All I do is wind the clock and make sure it’s set to accurate time
@@tjocsmgamer523 yeah the chime rods are for sure the same model as the one in the game, but not the same clock. there are several models of this clock that are very similar and have similar chime rods. also, just so you know, there's a difference between chime rods and chime tubes. chime rods are found in clocks like mine and sound like this. tubular chimes are actual tubular bells that sound like real bells.
My Great Grandmother has this clock and she is going to give it to me for free The clock is screwed up it needs some weights i'm going to try to fix it wish me luck! Well when she gives it to me
