Mike behaved himself in 2022 so Hanukkah Harry made sure to get him a nice toy for the eighth night of Hanukkah. That nice toy happens to be the RIDGID RP 351 Standard Pro Press Tool. If you're doing a lot of plumbing, you're probably going to want to invest in one of these bad boys. They're not exactly cheap, but Mike thinks they're well worth the money.
No affiliate link for this tool because we bought it at our local supply house. If you're in or around Trenton, New Jersey, make sure to go to Penn Supply.

That is a nice upgrade you got yourself there Glad to see business is going well. It is crazy how much they are making off of these tools simply due to the lack of demand. There is no reason this tool should be over $1000 with the accessories but until more companies start making these or more plumbers get away from soldering, they can charge whatever I guess. Have you ever seen or heard any issues with pro press fittings failing? They certainly seem more reliable than sharkbites but I know every 50+ year old plumber it's just waiting for every opportunity to tell people why soldering is the only way to do things.

Not that I’ve heard. I think most plumbers love these things. I’m sure you have some grouchy old plumber somewhere who doesn’t like pro press but whatever lol

@@JewswithScrews Not quite 50+ but close. Also a GC, I've done mine and others share of plumbing. Not union, but I know the ipc/nspc. I was slow to tackle new things. I waited for years to go to battery tools. But I'm onboard, and have embraced propress and pex ... Still grouchy though..

The Ridgid 12v RP 241 is $2k or less with 3 jaws and compatible with angled jaws as well. You really want the angle jaws if you're a pro. RP115 only does 1/2, 3/4 and around $1300, no angled jaws compatibility. Vevor makes a zuppler clone for $900 with 6 jaws and takes Makita bats. Not sure if you recalibration option possible cause hard to even Contact them but good for 30k uses.

If the price is an issue then you probably don’t need it.

Just sharkbites.... Everything. Obviously, I'm kidding. When I'm in old buildings built from what is basically kindling at this point. I don't like sweating. But I do propress....

Did you bail on that Humeville humiliator, investment property yet, or are there too many tourettes episodes for RU-vid monetization?

Milwaukee is more $$$. This is also the 18v version with 6 jaws included. Milwaukee has zero warranty after 5 years. A repair can cost $1500 or so.
