Isekai'd as a priest, Kingdom saw him as useless, and Adventurers tried to betray him, so he spent all his exp on QuickStep to become invincible - Manhwa Recap #manhwa #comics #anime
I saw this video so many times when watching others and after actually watching it I didn’t hesitate to subscribe and I don’t plan to unsubscribe any time soon😁 keep up the good work
A healer with high evasion stat doesn't sound as bad as the king is making it out to be. He basically won't get hit as much while he's healing those around him.
I guess the king just have thought he dumped ALL his stats into evasion without having any in healing. Still dumb since a base healing skill with no stats is infinitely useful for newbies but yea.
>Be a knowledgeable gamer >Create unorthodox, but op build >Job: PRIEST >Get rid of old trauma with ease >Does not think even for a second that with PRIEST JOB and 100 Points in it u can break a FUCKING CURSE.
recovery is his stat not curse removal so logan is correct. out of his 4 skills he has heal, shield, language aquisition and regeneration. There would need to be a seperate curse removal skill.
I can’t even imagine how annoying it would be to just walk through a dungeon with a bunch of enemies attacking you, would be like trying to pick grass while moving as if you’re playing DDR on max difficulty
I’d imagine it’s sorta like a drunken fist style thing taken to the extreme with video game evasion. Confusing movements that mislead people trying to hit you. For instance: imagine if you had to fight a guy who fought like a regular guy but up until .2 seconds before he hits you with a punch he was basically t-posed like a gmod character sliding around the floor. You can’t read when he’s gonna punch, when he turns, what direction, not even what leg he leads the punch with. Makes it way way harder.
I have tried it in Diablo 2. Slightly edited my single player save file to have 2 billion attack+defense. The result is like One punch man with ultra instinct & death note.
that's just the secret path of the too much lagged to be damaged player that somehow can manage trough all of the lag and predict and use to its fullest the power of lag
"You didn't put your points into healing?! Blasphemy!!!!" Yeah.... should have told him that instead of basically making it out like he could put points where he wanted to. Even raising his max MP would have been good if that was possible.
it drives me crazy how he never learns that people wont respect the evasion part. and he needs to lead with the 100 in recovery. THEN let them know hes also untouchable
@@bossSHREDDER210 you haven't met enough trash people at their worse, it doesn't matter what their best is, since their worse can negative any net benefit not matter how good ... caveat - the MC in this story doesn't count ... his worse isn't even a negative. - unless you count his trash communication skills.
That's like saying "Ah yes, look at all this money I just happen to have in my pockets" and expecting not to get robbed. Or rather, permanently jailed and tortured to heal things on demand.
I love it that his friends are actually friends, not dumping him like the tired "he's such a useless healer" trope. Rather, they tried to support him and put their trust in him. Oh, they also understood how useful an Evasion Healer is.
Shame he's a horrible friend by not getting the help they need. All he has to do is lead with the fact that he has high points in healing before mentioning the evasion part. Now his friends are slaves due to his nonsense.
@@Happymasks Over half of the story's conflicts could be solved by him actually just saying that he has 100 points in recovery already- why on earth does he not???
@@UniCops Because the author needed him to act like other people couldn't see the genius of his actions. That he's "being looked down on" so he can show everyone how great he is later. Not understanding that the only reason he's being looked down upon is because he's bad at communicating with others.
@@Happymasks The author did a shite job at it. The MC comes off as a socially invalid troglodyte as a result, and it's really darn difficult to write a compelling (not to mention ENTERTAINING) underdog story when one's physical capabilities are displayed as *literal numbers*.
magic missile, pfft, fool, that is too much effort. that is an entire spell slot. just use mind sliver, no need to waste more than a cantrip on this guy. besides, he has shield so he could block the attack, mind sliver is just direct mental damage.
Okay I'm kind of confused why he got arrested from putting points into Evasion but then he continues to say "I have evasion." as if he doesn't have 100 regeneration. He doesn't need to say he has maxed evasion when he could just say 40 or 50 regen. There is nothing forcing him to talk about evasion especially after the first half dozen times he says it and people turn him down.
it happens way too often in these stories - the characters actively ignore feedback from others, and continue to repeat the same stupid thing, even though they get the same negative evaluation over and over again.... it doesn't help that the other characters also ignore everything that doesn't match their existing biases also repeatedly
Everyone in Dark Souls plays PvP naked. Evasion build isn't exactly frowned upon there. This isekai is kinda weird for discriminating against funny builds.
Evasion sounds like the most forced controversy ever. He created an obviously good min/max build. So many other ways to achieve the same effect of banishment like they did in Shield Hero
Nah it's fine. In a world where you have limited points to increase your strength, the MC just keeps telling people he dumped all of his stats into Evasion, meaning his Healing if his circumstances were normal would be nonexistent. The stupid part isn't that people think that's idiotic, it's that he refuses to tell people he's any good with Recovery before diving straight into the Evasion thing. Just freakin' say you're a healer and join up and let them figure it out, damn.
@@Ventorath He doesn't tell them about his recovery skill level for the same reason he says his class is healer and not priest. Otherwise, he would be drugged, kidnapped, held prisoner, and then tortured to heal things on demand.
@@Ventorath I've said this before, but "letting them figure it out" is a terrible idea that completely misses the whole point of being an evasion healer. His reason for putting his points in evasion is so that the party doesn't need to protect him. A party formation is built without knowing that both squanders his skills and needlessly endangers the party.
Why the fk do you need to say you are an evasion healer every time? You have one of the highest recovery stats imaginable and I don't think anyone would check your stats page, so you can do better than anyone else could heal so why can't you just say Healer...Also when he went into the guild the first time asking for party and no one took him, couldn't he just slash his hand and instant heal it to prove his healing is broke?
It's vitally important in a party to have a proper understanding of someone's build. The whole point of being an evasion healer is to make it so the party doesn't need to waste energy and resources on protecting him. If he didn't tell his party and they built their formation without knowing about his evasion, then that would both completely miss the point of his build, and needlessly endanger the party.
@@samuelsoliday4381yeah but he could just show off his healing first *before* telling them, our world isn't so nice, their 1500s ass medieval world with monsters sure ain't
@@Dumbsourplum If he literally did not say “ I dumped all stat points into evasion”, and more like ‘ Okay so I have some points in healing and some points in evasion. Is that alright with u guys?’ Some people will be judgemental but they can accept it well and he has a higher chance of being accepted. Story wise, if the other characters are worried about someone who invested more points into evasion than healing, then it’s like a acceptable thing. Seeing how brutal the levelling and point system is, it would make for a better sense.
People keep saying it's a communication issue with the MC not saying how good his healing skill is, when I'm pretty sure it is intentional misinformation. He doesn't tell them about his recovery skill level for the same reason he says his class is healer and not priest. What if he tells someone, they gossip about it, and the greedy, racist king finds out that he has really strong healing? Obviously the king is fine both using magic items to force heroes into effective slavery and just letting heroes die if he would have to get help from the demons, so basically no morals whatsoever. MC would be drugged, kidnapped, held prisoner, and then tortured to heal things on demand. And that's just the plot of Redo of Healer.
well yes but he could say he put like 23 points in healing instead of everything in evasion. Why would any party want to accept a healer who puts it all into evasion? Defeats the whole purpose of being a healer.
he doesn't tell them because its a stupid plot point that is overused in these types of stories where hundreds of other choices would have been better.
He decided not to say anything at the very beginning. It’s the most overused trope in Isekais, but anti-social zoomers will let slide because they self insert themselves, so authors keep abusing it
I don't see what their deal is if you never get hit, it means you have to spend less time healing yourself, and can use up the remaining time to heal / support your team. you don't need 10.000 HP, if you never take even 1 HP of damage
Its because they thought that MC never had any attribute points that were IMMEDIATELY put into Recovery (Stat for healing skill). Everyone is supposed to start off with 1 in all categories. However since they were they will get 50 free stat points right of the bat. However Hiiro (at least I think that's what he's called) ALREADY HAS 100 points in Recovery BEFORE even adding any of his 50 stat points. Everything would have been alright had the MC not been so stubborn/idiotic. Like the moment the MC says that he already had 100 Stat points in Recovery to begin with would be the time when they would realize like "OHHHHH SO THAT'S WHY YOU PUT IT ALL IN EVASION!" Like bruh. MC is driving me crazy. Edit: But actually at the same time. The Summoner literally decided to not even check Hiiro's Status Window before sending him to Jail so that also makes Hiiro a bit less stubborn/idiotic
umm think - non evadable AOE and other attacks that don't need to target you to effect you. you can't avoid environment damage like heat and cold since there is nowhere to evade to. your logic is a fail.
It's actually good but evasion is still % rate I think. So sooner or later something or someone would hit him. Like how that few slimes got a hit. So unless he got a 100% dodge/evade a lil bit of def or HP would help. Prob he should get hp equipment or move speed so he can dodge and evade and flee
The start is so painful - all the "adversity" faced by the MC is caused because he's too dumb or too stubborn to simply state that he has 100 Recovery. Sure, not telling the king is fine due to the shady summoning, but when looking for a party, simply stating that he has "Over 50" recovery should be enough to get him into any of the highest level parties if the summoner in the kings room was to be believed that "Reaching 50 is a master" in any skill. Such forced "conflict" for the sake of the story. Plus he's hardly shy about telling people his skills anyway, because it seems to be the first thing out of his mouth that he has "51 Evasion".
He's smart enough to hide his true class but not smart enough to avoid being insulted. Plus investing more point in evasion after leveling up is straightforward stupid, he just saw how troublesome not being able to kill is for him It was necessary for the plot the author created, nothing more, don't think too much about it.
It's a fun story, but it has a lot of issues with inconsistency and characters acting stupidly. e.g. Slimes on level 2 being able to keep you perma-paralyzed. Ren agreeing to be bound by a contract with the king just to be able to visit Hiroki in jail. Hiroki lamenting that he's out of money, but then announcing that he's going to go to the demon continent after this last dungeon delve. The author knows where he wants to push the plot, but isn't very good at making it happen naturally.
@@PolPingo The MC is just proud of his "evasion healer" build that he flaunts it around like a proud father to the point where pre-existing parties shunned him for it. I guess the isekai's conflict is probably just the discrimination between quality build stat distribution and min/max build stat distribution.
What is with Healer hate in these mangas? Healers are generaly OP especialy in games where there is no natural healing (Soul Knight). Most Healer players are generaly also commanders as they stay back and heal the most important target to win.
To be frank, the girl that was also teleported in may have a morally questionable background when you look further into the video, but her heart is in the right place!
I read this a long time ago and some things feel rather forced with how the guy seems just a bit annoying. He tries to talk about himself being some smart "gamer" when just has to open his mouth too many times when he shouldn't. Spoiler warning: Despite all the "gamer wisdom" he tries to declare, he seems to lack that knowledge of the 1% chance a games will have of something happening, only for his ass to get beaten on later in the story.
Treat with a grain of salt the wisdom of people that claim to be smart - Dunning-Kruger effect is strong in lots of people. The guy forgets there is no Save and Restart again buttons, which you find in many games. He only needs to mess up once to die permanently. Putting all your eggs in a very limited number of baskets and having none in the other makes him have lots of weak points to exploit.
If OW has taught me anything, its that Supports with survivability are hella good. Like Mercy who can almost become untouchable by flying back and forth from teammates. Or Kiriko who can climb up surfaces and teleport to teammates
Little goofy life givers that are hard to get are the most annoying thing but one of the best allies you get because they make you last in the battle longer while not getting killed themselves so easily.
Dogs can't eat chocolate because it's poisonous for them. I don't know about other animals, but it'd have been far more interesting of a story if feeding the chocolate to the beast-folk guild receptionist made her sick.
Could be wrong but I think chocolate is sort of like alcohol for dogs. A small to medium amount might at best make them unwell but a large amount with high Coco would likely kill them.
I wonder what the bias was to make people dislike those with high evasion? Though it’s refreshing for a normal group seeing his skill invited and treated him like normal.
Is probely like old saying If you Knight everything should go to ATK & Def While Dps like Bows should focus on CRt Dmg and AOE attack Meanwhile Healer should only focus on Healing and buff So image if a Knight whould do Magic Dmg because his class may have Magic ability but the 90% ignore that because they see it as a "bad take" they whould not have them Same for a Thief but you put Range over ATK dmg they see you both worth of the class so why given him something of range while things are meant for closeup yet not knowing that he may have ninja stars who may have a big Dmg base if for Range reason Same with this a Priest with fast doge then Healing seem odd as the job should be surpoort the team yet they may not see that they can Dodge and be saved for upcoming attack and the team have a little bit worry for him as they know they dont need run toward them if they are in danger
It seems fairly logical to me. Even without considering the reasoning itself, there’s the cultural expectation to follow the stat distributions that are recommended and known to be effective. People are usually supposed to devote most of their points in the primary stats for their jobs. The MC didn’t follow this norm and he makes that clear to the parties that he talks to, so people will be less inclined to risk accepting him just from instinct, especially since it’s their lives that are on the line. And it’s not like a healer is _needed,_ anyways. After all, healers are rare (2:22, 14:54), so many parties probably don’t even have one. Which means that while it would definitely be very nice to have a healer, they are already able to function well enough without one for the most part. More logically, most people aren’t summoned heroes who start off with a free 50 stat points and 100 points in a stat (3:15, they’re shocked and consider it a blessing to not need to level up for stat points). At 4:49, you see that healers with low stats can’t even heal scratches. At 3:31, it’s said that 20-30 is the typical value for the main stat of their job, so that’s probably the point where stats are decently viable for a typical team. If 20 points makes such a significant difference in effectiveness, each point matters a lot. And if that’s the typical amount in the main stat, it’s probably difficult to level up and/or you don’t get many points from each level. (Actually, I just noticed that this is even briefly touch upon at 42:13). So then here comes this random guy at 15:03 who says that he has no experience battling or being in a party and claims he’s an evasion healer. No experience means that he’s probably low level. Since he made sure to call himself an _evasion_ healer specifically, he probably split his points between evasion and recovery, which when paired with the low level means he’s probably below average for both of them. And considering that a low recovery stat means you can barely even heal scratches, a low evasion stat probably isn’t even too good for evading, so it’s basically wasted points when he could’ve had at least decent healing instead. At least defense would be a constant reduction of all damage, which means he wouldn’t need to use as much mana when he does get hit. So now he’s probably seen as a weird guy who, despite knowing how rare healers are and how important stats are for effective healing, decided to use some of his limited stats for evasion instead of his primary stat. It gets even worse if he truly does have a high evasion stat like he says. The more points spent on evasion, the fewer that can be spent on recovery. And it gets harder and harder to level up and you gain levels, so you can’t even try to level him up quickly to get him more stat points for recovery if he already leveled up enough for a high evasion stat. It makes it seem like he’s more worried about keeping himself unharmed than healing his party members. Honestly, I wouldn’t risk it either.
The way the author made the situation develop (MC fails to explain he already has 100 recovery) was lazy and stupid. But its purpose was to establish that the king is a bad guy who sees the summoned people as pawns to be used for his benefit, and doesn't really care what happens to them.
Stacking everything into Dodge/Evasion based on video games is a wildly HUGE risk. There are plenty of games where dodge is useless. Also nice to find an isekai where his classmates are still chill
In Canada and some areas up north we have a “rent a book” deposits. Basically a free mailbox style small shelf in a community where anyone can place a book in and some random person can borrow said book someone enjoyed in the neighborhood. A very rare “honor system” thing and anyone can add to it. 😊
Meets pretty Beast-girl. Feeds her what may be a poison to her race. 22:27 He should have asked the girl if she had any old injuries she needed healing. Like, small tears in her skin, maybe?.
with how many times someone who can't block attacks jumps in front of people, I really expected him to try to block somebody from being hit, dodge it, then have them end up getting punched in the face either way.
I loved the unintentional Ninja dodge tank role in FFXI, even for a few expansions. Until the game said fuck NIN, now everything wipes shadows, harder to hold threat, and also harder to parry/dodge. Now even as DPS nobody wants unless you get that Katana from the Mog lottery's 1 in a billion chance. Now WoW has Rogue tanking in SOD but I haven't looked at how useful that is.
