Guys, first of all, love your channel.! Burbot at that size and length is massive, but guys, don`t weigh big fish by their gills. The probability for spinal damage is severe.. Use a weigh sling, weigh net, or just a big plastic bag (depending on the species). Not much extra weight to carry around and it insures a massive improvement in fish care. Tight lines

Lingcod and Mariah and Eelpout are nicknames of the Burbot

A true Lingcod is essentially the saltwater version of a Burbot, and ling's get much bigger. They are both part of what's called the Gadiform order of fish. Both are pretty tasty though!
