Great video excellent points, your trip was TCB! Other Highpoint : tons of great riding so 500,000 people in a 80 mile x 30 mile banana shaped area ain’t squat. Ride early in the AM to hit needles and iron Mountain. Schedule your bike mods at exit 55 for 9 AM done by noon. Badlands to devils tower …it’s longer than 80 miles. ride safe and do as much as possible/stay as long as possible because it’s great if you’re into sweet bikes great roads, good people and fun times. This year Highway 385 has construction north of Hill city. Check out Waze now so you can plan how you’re going to get around it. Excellent video!
My first Sturgis was in `79. I was 26yoa and a couple years after doing my time in USMC ( Semper Fi). I was back in the states about a year and between jobs. Loaded my `67 FLH (from when I was in Honolulu) into my `65 E100 and was standing on the roof of the van watching the dirt track races in Sturgis. Rode there the next time with a new Heritage in `95. From Milwaukee,Wi.
Great advice. I went solo last year, first time , to Sturgis also. I also stayed in Lead on Main St, with the three bars. What an awesome time. The ride each morning and night to and from hotel was amazing, riding through the mountain passes. Sure wish I could’ve went this year. Next year definitely. I had similar road experiences. Absolutely loved it. A lot of people don’t know what they’re missing. I rode my Road Glide Special cross country several times. Freedom 🇺🇸
@@wretchednation3557 thank you. I give you a lot of credit for riding each way 2 days. I rode 4 days each way (from New Jersey), roughly 500 miles each day. Be safe brother !
Nice video, but you know real men trailer their bikes to Sturgis. They take them out of their garage, wash it again, put it in a covered trailer (so it doesn't get dirty), then they go to their hotel in Sturgis, put on their new biker gear, and go to downtown. :D Yeah, kinda sums up a bunch of people. Have fun on the trip, and stay, in Sturgis.
Bro ... bikers I ride with eat , drink , smoke down while they ride ... Thats how we roll , no stopping except for fuel and drain the lizard ... We ride Goldwings so its always a fast pace and lots of comfort ... lol and no breakdowns that I remember and rain wind and cold is not a bother .. You might want to get one for long trips , it makes it a joy to travel
