Riding The Legendary Mount Prevost Mountain Bike Trails. Mount Prevost is located in Duncan B.C on Vancouver Island about a 2 hour Ferry from the continental Canada. This trail system is where some of the greatest Downhill MTB Racers and Freeriders have cut their teeth such as the likes of Stevie Smith, Mark Wallace, Finn Iles and many more. I knew the Mount Provost Downhill Trails were pretty legendary for a reason, but today I found out why.

I am so envious, you men are courageous. Im on the edge of my chair as the riders now a day do things we couldn't even imagine could be done on a bike. We had some tough bikes in my day, but no suspension and only Benedick brakes in the 1940s. It was the sudden stops that killed or broke us.I wonder if I would have had the guts to ride like you guys even with the kind of bikes you have.

Thanks for your attention to detail with 4K processing, even though I only watch on a 4K display maybe a 1/3 of the time, its bitrate really does make such a massive difference in the viewing experience when it comes to mtb videos, even in a window on a monitor or a phone. 🙏

Yeah... i guess Nobl had their jerseys made by specialized who left their logo on it. its along the same lines as "ball" they make almost every soda can, spray can, and mason jar (atleast on the east coast) and put their logo by the barcode , but you'd probably never notice it unless you get bored. In the case of the jersey I didn't spot the logo until too late and only got the jersey the day before.

To answer your tree question: What you had in your hand was Douglas Fir. Doug fir only grows from coastal northern california, Oregon Washington and halfway up coastal British Columbia but provides 70% of the worlds building and construction Lumber. The coastal forests around the Pacific Northwest are also filled with red and yellow cedar and Hemlock and occasionally some Sitka Spruce. Hardwoods in the boggy wet areas would be mainly Alder and Maple. Once you get towards Kamloops youll see a lot of Ponderosa Pine. As a born and raised PNW resident and mountain biker, I learned a whole new appreciation for the forests once I started working the logging industry. Plus I get to find the sickest spots to build trails that I otherwise wouldnt have ever known about 🤙

I suspect you had trouble acclimating to the trail because the soil composition has a different feel. I'm used to riding clay and sand in Utah. Suddenly hitting spongy and a little more grippy loam in BC requires a couple of hours to figure out. Adding water on top just compounds the issue with the variable trail conditions. You picked it up pretty fast! I'm envious and want to ride this trail.
