I bought a house in safety harbor water is really high around here. Took my Harley’s tub. One of my brothers left me his place. He lives a lot further inland. You be safe out there peace and love man. Spider.

Thank you for the vid. I lived in the Tampa Bay area for 30 years and am very familiar with the "it won't hit here" feeling. Now having the hurricane come all the way up here to Tennessee was a BIG surprise. North Carolina got it the worst. Entire towns are just gone.

this was the first hurricane ive ever worked. been through plenty but it was the first i ever worked. i actually live up the street from you and didnt see this stuff because i was at work. i work in pinellas (in zone A...) and it took over 2 hours to get home because all of the bridges were closed. what really shocked me was the sheer amount of cars that were washed away and lost like the one you saw at the train crossing.

I remember my first 3 hurricanes was in pascagoula Mississippi two out on a ship and one on land and 1 of 10 people on the naval Base it sucked but was crazy being told to go out during it and look for trash

My condo by the Country Side Mall did okay, few down trees and some local flooding from rain, Johns Pass was destroyed, Safety Harbor lost the pier and there was some damage right at the water front in Dunedin too…..I travel through Perry Florida often on my way to Alabama, that area is all but gone, Horseshoe Beach was totally destroyed as was much of the coastal communities in the area, my thoughts are prayers go out to them all in that area...

Lived in Okinawa Japan as a kid. When a typhoon would hit us we’d be out on our skateboards with a big garbage bag letting the wind take us down the road.

I rode my bike (Burgman 650 scooter) to tour some unbelievable flood devastation in NC… and I busted my ASS!!! I innocently drove through a pile of clay/sediment that had the same mechanical properties as lithium grease, and WHAM! There was zero choice. It was magnetically attracted to the ground! Fortunately, firemen were already standing around, and they ran over and helped me lift my ego. That shit hurts!

Only one day? 😢 like me and my family we are all OK I only had to do without power for a week and the recovery is still going on I think that there were twenty-eight people who lost their lives in Aiken County 😢 and Augusta Ga was hit hard really every thing from Florida to Ohio

Feel sorry to all the people who lost their homes or anything else due to the hurricane. Hope they'll find a new place to call home sooner then later. It's really 2sided for me to see, I am fascinated by Nature. Weather and Geology so the see the before and after is intriguing but I do feel sorry as well for the people. I'd rather have that nobody lost anything and nature just did the thing is does, but yeah we all know that ain't the way it goes sadly.

You can reasonably ask yourself why this enormous flooding is taking place... The answer is: A strongly changing climate which is fueled by the burning of polluting fuels. All fossil fuels: gasoline, diesel, kerosene, petroleum, butane gas, propane gas, LPG and all other fossil fuels such as heating oil, marine diesel and more cause global warming and changes to the climate. Serious flooding is the result of this. Stopping the use of fossil fuels can ensure that we will have less or no extreme climate change. So switching to a car or truck that runs on hydrogen and/or electricity is unfortunately what awaits us all. That is, if we do not want those enormous storms anymore. Katrina in New Orleans was only an announcement of what is to come in the very near future, the storm that recently ravaged the southern states is living proof of that. This and only this is the reason why something like the American Green Deal exists. Not because it's all that much fun to have to say goodbye permanently to our beloved fossil fuel cars and trucks and motorcycles, but because that storm that recently occurred is going to become an annual, or perhaps even more frequent, phenomenon.
