I use ProtonVPN. It's not American based. It's Swedish software falling under the Swedish laws and ethics of business. Proton really does not keep connection records unlike American and other companies who say they don't but they really do. Proton offers a lot!!
Johannes Knudsen was a danish machinist / engine engineer on the MAERSK ship Ellen, who duing a storm off of the coast of Wakayama, saw a japanese ship in distress. He tried to save the people on board but unfortunately drowned duing so. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Rising Sun.
SoloSolo san did not comment with surprise and heartfelt admiration for this sailor hero...😔...but I still love you SoloSolo❤...maybe you did not see this...does that mean you never read our...or my... comments?😭💔
@@whatweather ofc it is... If Sponsors are reaching out to him it means he has enough followers to peak interests of companies... simplification: he's becoming more and more successful as a RU-vidr
@@juinn3745 lol riiiight it means he's "successful". It has nothing to do with companies wanting to exploit and make money wherever and however they can. Of course they're gunna put ads wherever they can. It has nothing to do with this dude. You can be "successful" without a sponsor.
@@whatweather of course you can... Also what are you expecting that companies aren't gonna try to make money whenever wherever they can they will exploit everything they can there is not much anyone can do about it so just make ghe best of it also having enough followers that someone pays for trips you make sounds pretty successful to me
Solo-san picked a wonderful travel companion! Johannes Knudsen was a heroic sailor who died trying to help a Japanese that was struggling in a storm. I can't imagine a more honorable and deserving recipient of this auspicious award 🫡👏
😂 @ 3:55 “Look at them with their scenery-capturing technology”. You never fail to make me smile and giggle a bit to myself when watching your lovely, relaxing videos. And the quality of your content is always staggeringly breathtaking. So, as always….thank you for sharing your adventures in food and travel with those of us who cannot get out and experience it first hand. You’re a blessing young man. ✌🏻💕😃 *I have three favorite RU-vid channels and your’s is one of the “big three”. I would be so sad if you stopped producing such lovely content* My other fav. channels are Best Ever Food Review Show and Solo Travel Japan/Solo Travel Food. As far as I’m concerned, the content you produce is on par with my other top favs. You always put out beautifully rendered videos. The best part is that you’re also interesting, humorous and kind. Plz… keep up the good work! And congrats on your sponsorship!!! 😊😅
Congrats on getting ad sponsored, Solo-san! This ride looks quite nice, with so many sightseeing stops along the way and food. I wish more train stations in the USA had regional food for sale 🤔👍
Solo Solo Travel has been one of my favorite channels to watch when I want to relax or wind down before bed, but holy HECKO, the subtitles! A channel that once was a source of calm has now transitioned to a complete comedy. If the creator is subtitling these themselves, BRAVO. Their wit is absolutely hilarious and I’m thankful for it. Having a laugh during down time is relaxing in a way. 😂
I like the way it is possible to visit small stations & thay there may be a little art or music there. In the U.K. there is rarely anything playful & if you stop at a small station you will probably be stuck there for more than an hour, with no food & drink & probably not even a warm waiting room, even if the weather is cold.
Japan is a very beautiful country. The trains are all beautiful, of any class. I noticed that all the trains have large windows, it's beautiful. The food is also served very beautifully, like a ritual for a beautiful meal. I really like the respect for each person, it's very nice to see when people respect each other.👍❤️❤️
My boyfriend and I are hooked on your videos and watch it every dinner. I didn’t know you were from Madagascar! I’m also a Japanese who grew up in South Africa (oddly feel a connection)Great video as always and waiting to see more.
I cackled at "that cat almost got isekai'd". 😆 Fancy chickens! Congratulations on the sponsorship! And good job incorporating it in a very on-brand way. :D
I'm shocked at how much you got to experience and see and also eat with $80 on the train ride. What an awesome experience. Congrats on your sponsor! Your videos are very relaxing to watch.
Like how this train set has headlights outlined in white line that runs whole side long. Seaside trip is also lovely ! And there is food in there too ! Even deer stuff ! It's very surprising how every station has that greeting commitee with banners, welcoming everyone. They hire special people to do that or it's additional burden for rail workers ? Congrats on meeting Johannes :) 16:19 - that's cute !
I'm Danish and i had to look Johannes Knudsen up. I had no idea who he was. Apparently he was an engineer on a Mærsk ship in 1957 who tried to save a Japanese ship in trouble. He lost his life. Not sure if he managed to save the Japanese sailors before he died. Anyway. While we have forgotten him, it seems you guys has not.
This channel has very quickly become my favorite channel ever. I’m in love with Japan and how beautiful and breathtaking it is and your channel gives me a way to see this.
New subscriber hope you get to 800k soon! I also love your videos! I love that there’s only ambient noises in the background audio no talking. Makes me relaxed and sleepy. Also very educational.
Thanks again for a lovely trip! I can't get over how beautiful those bento-boxes are composed. Looks delightful! And to think that in my own country of sea-farers, there are lots of people who don't like fish. Unbelievable...
What a lovely trip and the beautiful seascapes and sunny weather along the way made it even more delightful 😂. By the way near the end in your very nice looking dinner box you mentioned there were some pickles, which immediately triggered late-evening hunger pangs in me, so as I don’t have any German/French sauerkraut (pickled cabbage) in the house at present, I immediately went along to my store cupboard and opened a jar of Korean kimchi (similar to sauerkraut, but with added garlic 🧄) which easily satisfied my ‘munchies’ 🤣😋. The gentle humour in your videos is so nice - greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
Hello from Wilmington, Delaware USA! My husband and I love to watch your videos! We watch them before bed as they are extremely relaxing. Thank you for posting and doing a great job.
It is so good that there is the possibility to lay down on the train. In the U.K it is virtually impossible to travel if you have a bad back. It is very restrictive. Offering the chance to lay down would make it possible to travel, for many who can not.
Congrats on hitting 800k subscribers! I love watching all your travel videos, just watching the wonderful scenery views of Japan is making me want to book a flight there soon!
All these train riding videos make me want to go to Japan even more!! The scenery by the ocean is beautiful and I want to try that sushi bento!! Looks yummy!
While watching your videos, Solo-san, it helps me explore the wonders of how Japan travels by ships, trains, and buses. I also wish to thank you for bringing us on your adventures while we are dealing with the Coronavirus and to educate us about the usual prices and what is expected during those trips. Thank you from all the way from Canada. 🇨🇦
This was a great video I loved it. The scenery was beautiful and the food looked good. It looks like you were enjoying yourself. And you do have a funny sense of humor I laughed through some of this. I said you got your money's worth. To try the different foods the different stations.
Although bunk beds, but this looks really nice and comfortable. Well done West Express Ginga! Probably the first train I would see myself using a bunk bed on a train.
That journey was so beautiful. love your content so much. I would live to visit Japan. You have educated me with your videos. Thank you. ❤🏴🏴
There are details that I see here (like the train tickets and the shang 上 and xia 下)which depresses me a bit. Because it reminds me of China. Been there many times and I don't like it so much. Obviously the inhabitants have had enough recently too. Then again. I am quite sure Japan is quite different despite using a bit of the same characters and organisation around entering a train. This train is more stylish than those in China.
