Late last season I was able to get up to Redhead Mountain Bike Park for the first time. It is truly a beautiful place to ride a bike.

Showing the map overlay with your current location on the hill while riding is a pretty sweet idea! More of that...! :) Killin' the music during drone shots is fun too! :P

Ha! you spotted all the details. Glad to hear you like the map. I was trying to think of a way to tie the footage from the all the sections I showed together without it feeling too choppy.

love this ive been riding red head for 2 summers and my mom acttuly built the trails so ive enjoyed the most i can and love to see other pepole enjoying it

@@KrisYahner I had to come back to the video. I crashed up there last week and wanted to see what I did wrong. I was bonking at the end of the ride and shouldn't have been going as fast as I was. I cruised right into 5:58 and instead of taking the high line or the inside line I shot right off the face only to land in a pile of rocks :)

@@KrisYahner I got a Marin Rift Zone 2 and with it being my first full suspension I'm even more stoked about it than previous bikes. It should be a great bike for the midwest and I really wanted something like a trail or enduro especially with living in Iowa it was kind of a must. I'm taking it to Missouri in a few weeks to get it fully dialed and set up for other trips and maybe even some races this summer.

Nice video and great shots as usual. I liked the map nav you included. It’s still my understanding that they have the intention to open even more trail up (10+ miles) there but a rider at Tioga told me the price tag was bigger than anticipated. I really hope that comes to fruition in the near future and suspect it will as the crowd was noticeably bigger the second time I went up there. Only trail I think can rival its beauty is the Jackpot trail in Tofte. Have you had a chance to check that out yet?

I gotta wonder, are these range- mine trail networks unique to Minnesota and are they what defines us in the "global mtb scene"?

I don't know if they are unique but they will absolutely define destination riding in MN. Building good trails is expensive and they are getting the money to make it happen.
