So Disney can build an infinity bridge connecting the cruise ship dock to Eleuthra’s Lighthouse Point, BUT Disney cannot build a pedestrian bridge spanning the short distance over the road separating the Polynesian Resort and the Shades of Green Resort [the Disney resort used by veterans and military retirees and their families].
Are we complaining about a service Disney doesn't even have to offer at all? They give great rates and half off tickets to military and their families already. It's not even a good comparison.
@@mattdaaamonObviously *you* aren’t. As a shareholder, I AM complaining. A company which won’t invest its profits into better serving its customers deserves neither.
Eleuthera has lots of reefs - they probably should have done tendering, but then that leads to poor guest experience if bad weather prevents tenders from operating. The pier is the least bad solution.
The problem with adding shade to the pier is that it would have to tolerate strong winds occasionally blowing across it. They can't have stuff blowing into the ocean.
Nice to see they put new seats in Carousel of Progress. It always smelled really musty, feet,& fart smells in there hopefully this improves the smell. Now we just need the whole show completely updated.
Halloween starts on August 23 this year. It doesn't surprise me at all that they would pull Magic Happens resources to put them towards the Halloween parade. There are only so many parade performers to go around.
I did the single rider line on resistance and it seemed really clunky/not worth it. The standby line was 45min and I waited 35-40 min on single rider (would have preferred to see the whole thing at that point).
I'm glad they have a single rider line now, but the lack of care about the story bothers me. There have been multiple times that I've taken people to the parks for their first ever visit, and they don't do the preshow at all! My friends just miss an entire part of the attraction
I heard that the reason for the long pier is to not destroy the kelp and coral ber just off shore. Yes, i agree a transport or a shade systrm is a must addition. Maybe place information along the way explaining what is under your feet and the bock is the way ot is.
Every time I’ve been there and tried to ride Rise it has broken down multiple times. I wasted hours and hours of my valuable time to only ride it once. I’d say I’m done with it. I’m not stressing myself out anymore over it.
Rise Of The Resistance having a signal rider line sounds really all even though you are missing half the story if they don't keep it it should be a Virtual Queue line but no matter what I would be fine with Virtual Queue, fast pass, and Singal Line
I like the idea of single rider lines as I have difficulty standing in long lines due to my feet. Wondering what 's going to be left of Disneyland entertainment after all these cuts. 😞
When watching the segment about the Canada Pavilion, EPCOT, IMO, needs its own in-Park Hotel, similar to Anaheim, Paris & Tokyo. Thoughts? Would be so cool! Have to re-look at the map, to see where possible. Imagine if they finally added Mt. Fuji or Matterhorn with an integrated Japanese or German inspired Hotel? BTW: Chapek Pier is funny, but Guests tend to forget that things like this were likely green-lit, long before his short term as CEO. Those making-fun of Chapek’s cost cutting forget that two of Disney’s ships only happened, because he bought them from another operator at an unheard of rock bottom, bargain price. Disney would not have been able to afford, adding these two new ships and so quickly (as they were already built), were it not, for this smart decision. Not defending Chapek… just wish my shares were worth $212 under his tenure and not $96, as they are, today!
I wonder how Single Rider will affect standby, if memory serves those vehicles are 4x2 seating, and since most groups are even numbers those vehicles should be filled up on a very regular basis. The problem is CMs may allow single riders through to "fill up" a vehicle that can be filled up by a 2 guest group in standby, which would unduly affect the standby line.
The way the RotR single rider line seems to work is that they pick from the main line first and then pick single rider if there's a space for an odd numbered group.
Bastille Day is always the best day at Disneyland Paris with the best drone fireworks show on Guinness World Record. Keep up the good work Disneyland Paris.
The new fairies scene was incredibly well done, with them each firing their wands at the castle turning it pink/blue/green! Pity it's just a one-off, but I think this is about 5 times the usual number of drones for the nightly Electrical Sky Parade, so I imagine trying to get those all charged, and laid out, and planning/programming the flight paths etc is a huge amount of work. Let alone all those extra fireworks...
I’m happy Carousel of Progress is getting love with the better chairs, themed as well. Seriously? They want disabled guests to go in the single rider line. Is that how I’m supposed to rejoin my group, by going in a separate line all by myself? I mean it’s better than nothing, but seriously just let people with physical disabilities have Das again. Do what Universal does and let me show you my doctor’s note. Then you’ll have way less liars/cheaters and much more happier guests which you’re clearly in desperate need of. People might say the low attendance lately is because of the heat and the economy and I wouldn’t doubt that’s part of it. However I think a lot of customers, especially physically disabled ones are simply taking their business elsewhere. Going to Disney wasn’t ever that big a strain on my family’s wallet and we could still go now, but we refuse. Why should we financially support a company that clearly disrespects the needs of physically disabled guests just to squeeze more money out of them. Like legit they are shaking cancer patients down for more money. That is how low they have sunken. Seriously they couldn’t be bothered to add SOME shading or seating?! Even a normal person could get heat stroke and pass out.
