How about a collab? You 3 (and Seth) have to be some of the very best storytellers in MTB. Would be cool to see you all get together for a video as I'm sure you will be heading to Whistler at some point this Summer.
This same exact thing happened to my girlfriend and I escaping to Moab last year - we ended up driving across mountains to St. George, breaking our rental car, getting in to a fight with a bike shop (Sorry we didn't bring a hitch rack on the plane?), rented bikes from a shop OK with putting them in the back of a minivan, and finally got a solid day and a half of riding out of the week.
We drove 21 hours from Portland to escape the snow....That did not work. We ended up riding about 30 minutes away in Cotton wood, They were XC trails but they were dry and dusty and we had fun on the trip over all.
I had the same thing happen a few years ago. Rolled into Sedona in a snow storm and locals pointed Me to those trails. Quickly became my favorites out there when combined with old post and ridge trail!
5:37 The cacti right next to the trail scared me quite a bit! Imagining myself or someone else falling into it or simply driving over a needle would make these sections dodgy for me.
Stoked you guys came down to Sedona! It was a really rough weekend, for sure. The timing couldn't have been worse! I go to the festival every year and they seem to always have issues with the weather, I'm reeeeeally hoping they move it to November when it's much drier. Scorpion and Pyramid is fun! You should have also checked out Brewer, it's near the airport, it was rideable on Sunday. Next time!
I've gotten really into riding MTB in the past 4 months. Transitioned over from BMX and have just been loving it. Sort of thinking about trying to making it to the Sedona Bike Fest next year as I've always wanted to check out that area anyways. Any tips?
Thanks for this. When i got notified by my phone that you guys uploaded another video, I got excited. Your video's are one of the things i looked forward to.
I'm really surprised that between the two of you, nobody have a multitool? I mean is there any downside to having something like a OneUp EDC (besides cost kinda.) So you never have to deal with not having a tool.
