You missed Fantasy Island, and Starr Pass. There are many other rides around the area as well, but those two are have-to rides if you want to say you rode Tucson.
I live in Tucson and love our mountains and trails. I laughed at your phonetic pronunciation of Canada. It's a Spanish name and it's pronounced "Conyada". Just sayin. Loved the action, amazing photography, totally got my adrenaline going. But where were the crashes?
You just have to expect that outsiders will inevitably butcher the pronunciation of some of the Spanish words here in the Old Pueblo. However, speaking of butchering pronunciations, there is one major street (or I should say road) whose name is not of Spanish origin, yet most people seem to pronounce it incorrectly. The mispronunciation is so commonplace that you may be unaware that you might be one of several who unknowingly mispronounce it. Now, I'm not talking about that Iowan, the owner of Wags, in those goofy TV ads claiming to sell flapjacks as big as your head, and the way he would pronounce Alvernon. No, the one to which I am referring is farther east. Do you know which road I am speaking of? Wilmot!!!
All the trails on Lemmon are epic, but as was alluded to with the shots of the Chutes on 50 Year, there's more to Tucson MTB than Lemmon. Epic Back Country XC? Honeybee or 24HoP. Hardcore tech? Upper Javelina near Dove Mtn. Accessible and varied? Starr Pass/Genser TH. There's so much more than just Lemmon...
Love living here and riding here! Awesome MTB, great rock climbing and hiking on The Lemmon, fantastic enduro on the dirt bikes in Marana and ability to day trip for snowboarding! Outdoor lovers paradise. Too bad there's no more room for visitors (locals only)....just kidding. Good video.
Yo, no snow birds! Stay away from Tucson we don't want you here hahaha 😂 jk sick vid. Grew up riding all the trails and skating all of downtown . Amazing place for that 🔥
As a frequent hiker of lemmon it's safe to say I've nearly shit myself a few times I hear a bike coming up behind me on trail. Some spots just don't have enough bailout. Glad to see y'all had a blast tho.
snickers when you say CANADA - you should know why. Cañada = Can-Yah-Da down here in the pueblo dude. fwiw, I ride mtb to get away from cars, not to sit in them and shuttle while checking selfies and likes. that said, enjoyed the article and vid. roll on.
Pinkbike continues to showcase great trails, but irresponsible riding (race speed decent with lots of slides and scandi-flicks out of corners). This makes us all look like asshole BMW drivers that don't signal and cut people off. Please stop! No wonder every hiker I encounter seems terrified regardless of my speed.
Every city has ghetto parts...especially Tucson. Your statement shows your self hatred. Get outside and find the non ghetto parts duh. Life is what you make. Get some exercise.
yeah "best" trails is entirely subjective. as others have commented, MANY excellent trails were left out as usual in these videos that want to seem to focus on Bugs and Incinerator. not everyone likes riding that crap.
