Whoa whoa WHOA!!!!! The Ranch is open and rideable? The hell man? I'm sitting here in Westsyde waiting for the trails to get dry, and I could've been riding??? /edit: October 2021. LMAO!!! As you can tell, I'm getting massively antsy for riding season.
The boostmaster is just a name. Don't bound your happiness to that. Maybe you already reached your top in extreme jumping, serious injuries that preventing you from doing your job are scary for anyone and it will take a lot of time to get rid of that feeling. I have been watching on and off for the last 3/4 years and your video quality is still one of the best that makes these videos fun to watch and it is fine to work a bit on your content depending on what you can do. You can see it also for example in Seth's videos and he is experimenting with what is working for his channel and you see he could broaden the scope to work on his ranger station or remote control cars without losing his viewership.
20 years ago there were a few single track cow trails there..it sure has changed. I'm surprised it wasn't constructed in the more popular Batchelor Heights....The trails coming from McQueen Lake to Westside Road are awesome.
I got a vid on my channel of this place from 2014, a guy named Brad Stewart started doing this around 2011/2012, worked at the mill I worked at in Savona. 😊
Junipers on the nicer side of town, plus closer to the rio trail in rose hill. Nicer road, closer to the river, better restaurants, closer to the trans Canada, better hotels. Lots of reasons I’m sure. Also an established store at the trailhead, its not a protected grassland, no elementary school in batch so more kids to get into riding in juniper… list goes on.
@@CaptainAnytime I'd still sooner do the 23 k single track from McQueen. The money crowd probably enjoys the restaurants, hotels, etc. As a former local from 1990 to 2002, Batch was the go to as an open area of recreation. Juniper only had a few goat trails, and the people in the neighbourhoods there didn't like bikes "tearing up the landscape". The public even went so far as to blame mountain bikers for erosion, until one guy went out in the spring and filmed the melt...showing that we followed already established cow trails.
Jordan. I rode years ago as a young teenager. Last year I came across your videos and it inspired me to get back into the sport. I bought a bike and rode the bike ranch almost everyday last summer. This video is nostaligic for me. Cheers from Salmon Arm BC 🇨🇦
Im glad you didnt crash on these close calls! Dont blame yourself for not progressing, everybody got those days and these jumps are absolutely massive.
Adding tire pressure always throws me off. Maybe that was reason you didn't ride as well as you were hoping? Either way you're ripping and I'm glad you had a good time!
So sick! It's all about just havin fun with your boys, and it looks like you guys did. This was the first MTB youtube channel I watched when getting into the sport, and its still my fav! Keep sending it 🤟🏻
I absolutely love these Kamloops videos Jordan. Then again, all of your videos are amazing and I'm especially excited for the backyard videos! Just made it to the end of the video: absolutely no need to feel pressured. We all enjoy your videos and your riding is still an absolute mile better than most even if you weren't feeling it that particular day! Just keep the videos coming and I'll gladly watch regardless of what you think of your riding👊
DREAMSS BOY ! Jordan you gave me 2 y. ago so much motivation for MTB, with your videos and location where you live, just amazing boy.. I 'm gonna play now this new video from you. rIde on bro⚡⚡🤘🤘🔥🔥
Hello Jordan. U have inspired me with you're project in you're forrest to make my own MTB track in a little forrest in my backyard with like 30 trees or something. I live on a little island in Denmark with the nearest MTB tracks 30 minuts away and because i'm 15 and doesn't have a car, it's hard to ride, stay making you're awesome videos
JB, awesome to see a full on jump vid with you and the boys. I remember seeing Eric/Yuka's vid from a little while back, and was looking forward to seeing your version from the day. Of course, did not disappoint. Shred on, Sir, Shred on!
"backwind" i think you meant tailwind...lol words aside, I absolutely loved this video. The whole thing felt like a bunch of guys having fun while riding bikes, which is what mountain biking is all about. Keep up the great vids man! :D
Dont worry about what we want just worry about what you want. If you dont feel comfortable just do what you can. Your videos are always awesome anyways keep it up.
glad to see you back on youtube after your break! i love your content and after seeing the crazy jumps on Daplow myself i have mad respect for people like you. seeing someone from my hometown become famous gives me a strong sense of pride to be living here! keep up your great work and i hope to bump into you on some trails one day!
10:17 might just be one of those days, or it could be suspension! the other week I realized my compression damping on my rear shock was too high. lowering it completely changed the bike, making it both more comfortable and responsive at speed, in corners and on jumps. felt stiff an awkward before, after dropping to almost minimum it felt almost like the bike was styling on its own.
Regarding what you said near the end, I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say I'd love to see just more footage of you riding and having fun, raw footage e.t.c. No pressure here (reference time stamp is roughly 15:00)
That feeling is so annoying, some days I easily throw down all sorts of tricks, others I can hardly jump straight. Good to know it happens to others as well 😂
Jordan i'm glad you still made a great video with this footage even though you weren't riding at your peak. Majority of the time I feel sketchy, as I don't ride very often, but last weekend I was riding great, just felt loose but strong at the same time and the bike was just flowing, it makes a huge difference not being sketchy but like you said at the end of the day sketchy or not its always still a great day and still made for a very entertaining video!
I really need to go to the ranch and make more bike friends again.... i haven't ridden in a few years now.. partially due to injury.. partially because, well i just have no one to ride with anymore. I miss the mountain biking so much
Back-wind sounds like an unfortunate medical condition to me, I always call it tail-wind and head-wind myself when the winds pushing you from the back or front. And cross-wind if its pushing you sideways. Nice jumps man, such nice variety of terrains in BC.
you could feel the wind! it had to have affected your ability to fully get in the Zone. but like you said, you gotta focus on the Fun Factor and riding with your mates, as soon as you start to make it about Creating Videos you pressure yourself. Cheers! Great riding out there.
I think that push you spoke of to do and be a better rider is what forces people to not like RU-vid. Go ride and hit jumps who cares if one day you case them. I'm of the opinion if you went bsck 2 days later there w ould be 0 cases. It still looks sick and so much fun. Keep filming, even days when you font feel like it's 100%, it's 1000%better than my riding 🤣 so I'm cheering seeing you boost huuge jumps
Hello Jordan I just found out mountain biker out here in Phoenix Az had an accident on South Mountain trails. What I found out on his Facebook said he has a tibial plateau and a fibula fracture.
