Typo at 5 minutes in, should read 'Winchcombe' Station! Riding a Steam Train on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway on a wet day in May 2019! We went from Broadway in the Cotswolds, to Cheltenham Race Course, a 28 mile ride there and of course 28 miles back! Our Loco was a GWR 'Dinmore Manor' built at Swindon Works in 1950.
The line was only extended to Broadway in 2018 by the GWSR, so now, if you're stuck for what to do on a wet day? Take the Steam train - it's FAB!

Nice video, just one fault, caption says approaching Winchmore station, it is in fact Winchcombe. i grew up there and spent many hours playing in the tunnel just outside the station, when the line was still in use in the sixties.

Hi Nigel. I enjoyed your video - thanks for sharing. It's difficult to record audio from a moving vehicle without the low-frequency buffeting noise caused by wind and turbulence. Your equipment seems to have done an excellent job at 'wind rejection'. How did you do that? You've listed the camera equipment used but not described your sound recording arrangement. Thanks once again. Andy.

Thanks Andy! Thanks for pointing out the audio. I used a saramonic mic on the GoPro7 with furry wind shield which managed to reduce most of the wind noise. Sometimes I use noise reduction in the edit too. Cheers!

PS. From a 'Steam Buff's' point of view, you cut the the departure from Cheltenham Racecourse during Editing too soon!

The original edit would have been much longer, so yes, I cut down the time at Cheltenham to allow more time with onboard action. Cheers!
