Riding the Istanbul Metro M2 Train 

Having been on NYC Subway and BART, I can easily say that the Metro here in Istanbul is cleaner and more modern-looking.

Swamynathan Iyer That is the Golden Horn, theres no line that goes over the bosphorus currently. Theres a line called Marmaray that goes under the bosphorus.

Thank you. During the rush hours, that doesn't work. It's empty in the terminal stations but rapidly becomes crowded after couple stations. I want to remind you that the population of Istanbul is more than the entire Greece's population:P Not the best city to film trains.

The black - white - gold trains are the newest trains on this line, they are manufactured in 2017 by Hyundai Rotem. Also, the ones that are manufactured in 2010(maybe), 2009 and 2008 such as the train on this video are also made by Hyundai Rotem. The oldest ones are made by Alstom and they were produced in 1999, when the line was opened. You can distinguish the alstom ones since they sound different, they have a different seating pattern and they don't have displays above the doors. Instead, they have printed maps of the M2 and M6 line. By the way, Alstom trains are rarely operated in M2 line since the newest sets have arrived, they are now operated in M6 line.

@@BaranOnenHavaclk After some research, I found out there both Eurotem (European Hyundai Rotem) and that the 3rd car is Alstom. Internet led me astray for a while so I was confused.

Moritz Velten No, M4 has trains made by CAF. These are Hyundai Rotem trains.
