Hi Brenton, I would agree the CX/Gravel bike would have a more "aero" position although this bike has 650B wheels to achieve a wider tire, so the 29er MTB rolled ok in comparison and possibly handled corrugations marginally better, having said that you tend to try and avoid them at all costs!! The other advantage of the CX is the frame geometry is able to carry a bigger frame bag AND bottles easily, my MTB with the sloping top tube limits bag choices. I do have a CX bike but not 650 B wheels, I would not recommend riding this trail on 32mm CX tires! The bigger the better, for me this trip was about looking at the sights, not going fast.

@@cameronwells6766 cheers, I do wonder if it would be better to do it on my krampus, or on the other 29er I've got. I'm leaning towards bigger tires..

@@BrentonCollas I just checked out what a Krampus is, that looks perfect also has carrying capacity on the fork legs, thats a plus

Hi Gracie, I'm glad you liked the video. The drone is a DJI Mavic pro 2. Its awesome!! It was a little bit heavy, but I think having it for the different perspective is worth the extra baggage.
