how cool is this... Being a Gen2 Street Twin rider myself, that "desktop" looks familiar... Felt just like I was riding along side with you through the city... sweet! This POV city-tour was quite nice. Enjoyed it a lot! Thks for sharing, have an EXCELLENT weekend with the FAM brother... Stay safe, have fun, cheers from PORTUGAL

Nice to have you in Bristol! Bought my T120 from Derek at Fowler’s last year, first bike. Fantastic rides around Bristol and the SW, Calimoto loves it!

Will try to give calimoto a go around here. So much choice with Wales, the mendips, north Devon, the cotswolds. Feels like a big upgrade from London for riding!

@@MOTOBOBVLOGS Favorite day out. :-) Early start from Bristol, over the bridge, Chepstow, Usk, breakfast at the Steel Horse, then mostly minor roads through the Beacons to Llandovery to fill up and have a short break at the cafe. Over the Black Mountain to Upper Brynamman and back to Llandovery. Up to Llanwrtyd Wells then to Abergwesyn, up the Devil's Staircase and over the mountain road to Tregaron. Back down to Llandovery past Llyn Brianne. Then A40 and A470 to Cardiff for a coffee with family, and home down the M4. Great roads for my Street Scrambler (except for the M4). EDIT: I see you've already been over the Bwlch and Rhigos.

Derek is a top dude. Sold me my Bobber Black (first bike too - just amazing, still love it 3 years later). Buying a Rocket 3R Black from Derek - should arrive any day now. Sooo excited!!!!!

@@rickmancr Unfortunately, looks like the Steel Horse has closed permanently. Luckily , Baffle Haus is very near if you cut through the back lanes to Goytre. There were Street Scramblers parked up when I’ve been there.

The bacon sandwiches at the buttery used to enjoy legendary status, hopefully they still do, I've not been there for quite a few years since I stopped working in and around Bristol..... could be a nice ride destination.... now there's a thought.

Like the new vlog addition. On your main channel I've watched the ' T100 vs. Street Twin' and the 'Street Scrambler Announcements'. I've been wanting a Street Twin for quite a while but preferred the looks of the Scramblers, but some look a little heavy/high, but be nice to see a vlog style of the street scrambler with a few comparisons based on your long term twin ownership and thoughts on spec difference. Keep up the good work 👍

Good perspectives on both bike and city. The traffic can be so bad around Bristol that a motorbike makes sense. Interesting comments about the power in riding it. Same must apply to the T100 I guess. I prefer twins so recently changed to BMW F900XR, which is not classic but in terms of safety it’s great and it can take a load equal to it’s own weight.

Awesome bike, really keen on picking one up, but it would be a perfect bike if it comes with a tft screen like the one on trident… well i understand its a retro and all but i think a tft screen wouldn’t be out of place in this day and age and it would attract the younger riders as well which is one of this bikes target market…

A great mini tour of Brissel. Lovely bike and it sounds the upgrades are worthwhile. This feels like Triumph’s closest match to Guzzi’s latest V7...hoping we might also get to hear your views on that bike here soon?

Another good one thanks. I’m just about to part ex my 21 CB650R for this same colour 21 ST. Love the Honda but as as you mention the 8k rev max torque is rarely reached. It’s at 90mph in 2nd! Love the more upright position too v the CB. Just a weekend rider so hope it suits me better. Cheers 👍

Own a 2016, first generation of liquid cool. I honestly didn't understand the adding more horse power thing. Got it because it was a ''Street'' bike for the city streets. Who needs more horses in traffic? And though the rear brake on the 2016 is mostly ornamental, it works fine. I did hear a fellow say he hates the fancy modes because the bike will ride like a ''different bike" in those modes. And nobody wants to ride a different bike in the rain. I do like the slightly more traditional look of the first generation. The seat is a bit slippery and I guess they've improved that on the newer models. Honestly, going from air to liquid cool and the slipper clutch, that was the huge jump in 2016. Since then, the rest is just specs for folks who care about such things. But I'm guessing the ride is similar and if you are looking for an easy bike to ride, this is a good one. I'm old and a newer rider and learned to shift on this bike. (Watched a ton of youtube too to learn.) I set up some saddle bags right away and take it everywhere. Work. Food shopping. Boring errands. Makes the most dull chore enjoyable.

I also have a Mk1. I'm in my late 50's and every 2-3 weeks I need to do a 200mile round trip to see my old Mum! Most of the time however I blat around the Wiltshire countryside sometimes with my wife pillion. To do both requirements the Mk1 was a little compromised. A Dart screen helped but really it was the overtaking on the motorway that bothered me. It is where the bike is weakest. Anyway, a stage 1 cam, DNA filter, decat together with the already fitted V&H and it is a much better bike. Still full of torque but with great power reserves. Feels exactly the same in traffic. Now, as I'm a fat git, I have replaced the fork springs and have a set of 2820 Hagons on the back. My bike is a great roadster. I can do anything with it. Scratch, pose, do motorway work creep effortlessly around the city and it is so very pretty. If you have serviced your bikes for years, the upgrades are simple to do and pretty inexpensive considering what you get. Worth considering if you ever get bored and fancy a change - nothing gets lost, and you get a lot of gain.

Hi Rob. If you are in and out of Fowler’s you’ll need to drop in to Bristol’s best coffee shop… Barristas Coffee Collective… 29 Victoria St, Redcliffe, Bristol BS1 6AA. Bacon sarnis there are epic.

@7:20 Yeah know what you mean, I've kept the stock end cans on my Scrambler to keep it civil as my Hammer has "Death Metal" pipes on it. Sound great but... sometimes you don't need to scream "BLOOD AND SKULLS!!" just to pop to Tesco...

Sounds like you don't care for bumps atall. Guessing the rear suspension is stiff as usual on the factory springs? Noticed when I bought my 2005 t100, they had put a set of Hagons on it. All my old bike's were stock. Honda CB 750, Yamaha VMAX, KZ 550. Didn't notice twas to bad. But never tried a replacement so not sure. Guessing I'm not a connoisseur 🙂. Thanks for the ridealong.

I'm seriously thinking about trying to save up for a second hand street twin. I'm a bit concerned about triumph reliability and my experience of dealers isn't great. How have you been with yours? What mileage is on it now? Finally are you thinking of trying an Enfield interceptor this year? I'd be very interested to see what you thought.. 🤔 Cheers Rob.

Pre-owned one should do it, too. Warranty is (in Germany) like 4 years, so if the original owner took it to the regular maintenance, all should be safe.

I rode mine 4k miles and it held up like a Champ. My boys Harley was leaking oil at one point during the journey. Triumph sets the standard with reliability.

Thanks for keeping us updated with the ST. My question is about a (fly)screen. What do you recommend? All I tried so far was only creating more noise on the helmet, I would love a little less on the chest though as this get's a bit cold on longer rides. Dart? Fly or Marlin, No screen and deal with it? Your advice please, thanks in advance
