I guess you took this video around 2000-2001, because there are CC201 locomotive with foglamp but still in red and blue color. I love red and blue CC201 locomotive ^^ your video give me beautiful memory. Thanks for uploading this video.
2:50 ..It seems like at Jatiroto, East Java. When riding in locomotive cab weren't difficult as nowadays. But still illegal though, without any permission to the railway company.
Nice video! Thank you, Geoff, for sharing it. Love most the scenes looking straight foward. Cause of the derailment? Animals near the track is a concern.
Th 2020 perkeretaapian Indonesia semakin maju apalagi skrg sedang ada pembangunan besar²an seperti jalur Double Track yg sdh sepanjang ratusan km serta peremajaan armada nya macam gerbong & lokomotifnya, semakin nyaman,aman......
Great video, as well as your one shot in Philippines. I’ve been to both countries on numerous occasions, but never managed to see much of the railways there. Of course quite interesting both same guage as NZ, and G-8, G-12 and U26 locos like us.
Masa jahiliah kereta api Indonesia. Terus maju Kereta Api Indonesia....
Very cool video, thank you for record and riding the Indonesian train, you have to come back next time and see the progress of railways in Indonesia now
Aahhhhh...... old days, when you can pay for cabriding, when many food vendor can come in to the passenger car, you can't find those things nowadays, but i must admit, Indonesian Railways is much better now
wow, what year this vide recorded, i guess around 2005-2006. because there are locomotive with red and blue livery, nowdays that kind of livery is not used anymore. Are you ride in Java island only or in Sumatra too, because at near end of video, the scenery look like in SUmatra island. Cheers
this kind of video is now history...not even indonesian railways official apart from the engineer n assistant engineer is now permitted on board the loco cabin
Thanks for the great video, sir! Already 10 years in youtube :) 1:39 I think this is Prambanan Express (Pramex) between Jogja and Solo, Central Java 2:45 Approaching Jatiroto Station, East Java 4:06 The street musicians played Wulan Merindu song by Cici Faramida : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MgM5s2MVuoA.html.
Love the view forward from the locomotive. How fast? Is narrow gauge noticeably less stable than standard gauge? My great uncle, a 4-8-4 locomotive engineer, said it is unfortunate that American gauge is not 6 feet instead of 4' 8-1/2".
