I took my kid camping this summer on Manitoulin Island. We took the ferry accross (obviously). Loved it. It's better on a motorcycle though, they always have room for a bike. You can show up in the last minute and they'll allow you on. Great video.
Manitoulin Island is a very nice place, we spent a couple days touring the island a few years back! Ya, it would be more fun on a bike for sure! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for tuning in!
I was on it in the fall of 1976. My dad and I were taking a U-Haul to my aunt's. No problem driving on, no fun backing off due to the bow being damaged. She looks great with the new paint!
We're heading back down to Manitoulin for Aug 10th to 12th to the country music fest . Lots of big names playing this year with Dwight Yoakam headlining the show . Thousands of people and one massive party .
It used to be that the Lake Boats could be longer as they didn't have to deal with huge ocean waves that were spaced apart further but now it doesn't really seem to matter as bigger and stronger ships ply the oceans. Length of carrear is definitely a big deal as Salt water vessels have a shorter life span due to the exposure to salt water. Aside from that I'm not sure what the differences are these days.
