Rhapsody is the essential power metal band. One of the best.

Rhapsody [of Fire] has a ton of albums. Getting their start in 1995 and debuting in 1997, they've put out 17 albums, plus one essential EP (the other 4 are mostly live or alternative version of other LP tracks), under various names as members try to split from the main band. While RHAPSODY is more of a Symphonic Metal band, BLIND GUARDIAN is a Power Metal band, but they both do Medieval Fantasy themed stuff. TWILIGHT FORCE is another such band too. I don't have any of their music, but they're kinda like cross between the two bands. They're power metal but incorporate more symphonic elements into their music. Same medeival fantasy themes though.

The albums 1 to 5 and 6 to 10 form 2 huge stories which combine as 2 acts of a big saga lasting 10 albums. This is just insane! I remember when the 10th album came out, I was excited to hear the end of a story which started more than one decade earlier.

One of the best reactions i have ever seen! Funny and thoughtful at the same time. May wings of wisdom provide you all with clarity about the past, present, and future. P.s. A whole album is just a part of the saga Luca Turilli created and It will continue on the next 3 albums. There are other stories he wrote but this is another story)) He took the heart of Rhapsody and put it into his solo project after he left the band in 2011.

The Big Five of Symphonic Metal is still unmatched. Therion, Nightwish, Luca Turilli/Rhapsody, Epica, Haggard. Luca Turilli is the mastermind composer of all the "Rhapsody"s variants. When he left the band Rhapsody of Fire to concentrate on his own band Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, then the quality of Rhapsody of Fire was not the same anymore, but the quality of Luca Turilli's Rhapsody went on and on.

Great reaction, so glad you did this one. Rhapsody are so underrated! As I recall, Nanowar of Steel never had any band members joining from Rhapsody, however, Rhapsody lead singer Fabio Lione is guesting on one of Nanowars songs: "Barbie - MILF Princess of the Twilight" I would argue that after the split 2012, any Luca Turilli version of Rhapsody has been absolutely excellent, genius level, but flown almost completely under the radar. Whereas the other part of the split "Rhapsody of Fire" through keeping the name have been slightly more popular, although in my opinion not on Luca Turillis genius level, but a good power metal band all the same. In Rhapsody of Fire there is only one original band member left; Alex Staropoli.

They created different Rhapsodies and other bands, because lyrics that doesn't relate to the story cannot be part of the album. The Legendary Tales or the Dargor Sagas should one story. There are two sagas: The Emerald Sword Saga The Dark Secret Saga The Emerald Sword Saga: Albums 1. Legendary Tales 2. Symphony of the Enchanted Lands 3. Dawn of Victory 4. Rain of Thousand Flames 5. Power of The Dragonflame Song that concludes this saga is GARGOYLES, ANGELS OF DARKNESS The Dark Secret Saga: albums 1. Symphony of the Enchanted Lands 2. Triumph or Agony 3. The Frozen Tears of Angels 4. From Chaos to Eternity Song that concludes this saga: HEROES OF THE WATERFALL' KINGDOM😊

The story of the songs often are a bit violent and dark as far as I can tell, so the idea of the dark lord resurrecting the beloved dragon to kill everyone is something that could absolutely happen in some other song 😛

your video has the wrong title "riding the wings of wisdom" is not a song from rhapsody but "WINGS of destiny" and "RIDING the WINDS of eternity" and "WISDOM of the kings" are all diffrent songs from the same album you reacted to the album's titletrack: "Symphony of enchanted lands" edit: and yes i say rhapsody and not rhapsody of fire since i knew them before they changed their name
