Battlestar Galactica used to have 4-abreast seating like B&M inverts, but being prototypes the trains weren’t engineered to handle the forces well. The ride felt lethargic and jittery, though the vertical loop was still forceful. The overall ride quality and pacing improved drastically when Vekoma switched to 2-abreast seating. Just for your interest, during the first week of opening back in 2010, the overall speed was much faster cos the launch kept accelerating till the top. It was really intense back then, but it ran into mechanical issue within a week. They had to slow the ride

I really liked USS when I first visited there. It's relatively small but the crowds were light and still lots of things to see. The expansion would make the park more enjoyable, so I'm hoping to get back soon. And why don't you make a dedicated playlist for the Coaster Odyssey series? It'd be more convenient than just finding one by one imo!

I'm so glad to have some validation from someone else who also thinks Cylon is really good 😭That dive into the trench directly into the vertical loop is unexpectedly forceful. 😭And I love how wonky that final zero-g roll feels too. Cylon is one of my favorite coasters too! Only a couple of ones I've ridden that are very popular among enthusiasts beat it for me. Though, I haven't ridden too many coasters in real life yet, so it'll be really fun to see how you think Cylon compares when you've gotten further in your Odyssey project. 👀 Overall I'm just really happy to see Battlestar Galactica running again; although it first opened in 2010 it experienced lots of operational issues (particularly with the design of the trains) that required a couple of redesigns, which caused the ride to have several long periods of being SBNO until they finally got a more refined train design in 2015. Both Human and Cylon used to have 4-across trains -- I wonder how that would have felt like 👀Unfortunately the first time I went to Universal Singapore as a kid, Battlestar was closed so I wasn't able to experience it in that state. But I'm really glad I had the chance some time ago to return to Singapore and finally manage to have a ride on it. 😭Really nice to see you enjoyed it a lot too!
