Unlike Toronto’s LRT which was allowed to fall into disrepair and then closed, The Sky Train has been maintained and expanded. Both have the same beginnings. However mass transit in Toronto is a disgrace. If one needs further proof, look at the development of the Crosstown LRT.
Have not been to Toronto, so can't comment on their transport system. But I guess Vancouver is a more affluent City and able to run their transit systems more effectively? cheers!
