I was interested in the Zieher Balance glass and when I asked our local retailer if they had any available they said no since they considered the Riedel Wine Wings very similar... ah..I dont think so. Thanks for your review and even before you rated this glass I really was not interested in it but was curious anyway. Any chance you will review the Zieher Glass in future? Thanks 😊
Hello - Yes, I have Zieher on my video production list--just have to get my hands on some stems. I agree Riedel Wine and Zieher are not similar at all.
Been happy with my Performance and Veloce glasses from Riedel but will give this range a miss. I had a Josephinenhütte No. 3 but didn't fall in love with it. That one has a similar design.
I am increasingly unhappy when there is too much of a sharper or pronounced angles. I see a part in this wine glass that probably has a sloshing affect. Thank you for the comment on Josephinenhütte No. 3 - what was missing in terms of design. I have yet to experience theses glasses. My favourite it terms of fantastic nose delivery is the Riedel Somm Grand Cru Burgundy glass.
I have a WIBA (Would I Buy It Again) for Winewings is a No for me. Performance is Maybe for me--and the silhouettes are fine--but the slight texture is not something I like because I like to look through a glass without distortion. My current favourite is Spiegelau Definition Burgundy Glass - 98 Points - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vk07XgVsg9s.html
Hello how are you?do you know if there is any difference between the steamed and steamless glasses ?i wanna buy some Riedel Winewings but i love the steamless model, but i dont know if there is any difference with the seamed glass?thank you so much
Thank you for your question. I do have a few stemless glasses. I would note that I do not like for white wine and I also don't like how smudgy they can get in one setting. I do enjoy on occasion and will do so with red wine. The other aspect to consider is gripability of a steamless can be challenging if too large. I hope this helps. Cheers, James
