Yes!! Neon Icon was the best album because of that diversity. I really liked Balloween too on them beats and lyrics. So glad he's going back to diversify tho that's where his creativity shines
I saw this comment and assumed it was a line from Riff Raff's freestyle and laughed, it's even funnier that it was a confession from someone in studio.
Real freestyling off the top. I am impressed. Most cats spit written rhymes. This is obviously fresh. Who else goes off the top like that? I need to hear more. Hit me with some recommendations.
Dude invented a persona that none of us would think of, but we can all relate to, THEN provides an actual freestyle off-the-top live on Sway. A true artist.
@@MaGiCFanz12 a lot of people go off "material" they already have and intertwine random bars off of what they already know. But to go straight freestyle, it's easy to hear. Look up Sway in the morning swollen members and listen to prevails freestyle. That is off the dome, and you know it because he struggles a bit.
MN Creek Water oh I’m well aware of the usage of writtens in “freestyles” on camera. My point was, just because some artist’s freestyles sound like writtens doesn’t mean they always are writtens or previous work. And just because riff raff’s freestyles are much more noticeably off the dome, compared to other people’s doesn’t make him the only person who “actually” freestyles. Freestyling is a skill and any skill can be mastered through hard work and time by anybody.
I really didn't like him for a while. But then I heard that Larry Bird track. That shit is hard. His project with Dirt Nasty and Andy Milonakis was pretty funny as well. Sidenote: to anybody who might not know, this commenter is a dope rapper as well. Do check out his stuff! Definitely some gems in there.
victor martiniano he means popeye the cartoon from the 80/90s. Popeye would eat a can of spinach he would get strong as fuck and turns the fuck up! He then starts beating the shit out of all his opps.
Man I love Riff this dude's been the same guy since he's started. So many people wanna be the same and act like the new guy out and he's been different but himself since day 1. If you can't respect that then you're just a hater period. He's a legend in his own right and can still freestyle off the top better then 98% of the 'rappers' today.
Skinnii17 I wouldn’t say better it’s nice rhyme but methaphors eh but he is definitely a legend and hate on this dudes stupid like 1/80 rappers actually free style nowadays it’s sad they act like a free style but it’s clearly pre written and then dumb asses defend that like wtf
@@jacobpatterson1091 i saw a dude from uk on fire in the booth after juices epic FREESTYLE then dude zigzag or suttin think his name is USIN HIS F-IN PHONE and cjarlie let it slide
"I did that, I came back - With Sway in the back of a back of a Mabach, it went waay back..." - Riff Raff 😂😂😂😂😂 That sounds like a super extended limo edition Maybach!
Freestyling is "coming off the top". Its just none of today's rappers can do it, so they've taken to cyphering/wrecking, preparing the bars before they drop them, and calling it freestyle.
I have a high standard for these, and Riff is totally going off the dome. This is actually, believe it or not, impressive. He's smart in that he uses such different words that he's able to reload his mental gun with almost every line and come up with something new. Punchlines, too. I'm not mad at this. How many others go entirely off the dome?
"i pull up like judge dread, i pull up candy red, i forgot my isuzu, i put 8 shots in your su-baru, i forgot to flatten the tyres, i let em spin off for good desire"
Hate on me for my opinion all you want, but I've always thought that Riff's freestyles were reminiscent of old school ODB freestyles, in the sense of how eclectic and off kilter they always came off in their delivery, yet at the same time they constantly, without fail, stay true to themselves and display their unique personalities through off-the-wall freestyle bars and rhyme schemes. There's something undeniably dope and admirable about any artist that can stay afloat in a game ran by passing trends, simply by being themselves and staying true to their roots.
You were soooooo close to an upvote. Then you said "...simply by being themselves and staying true to their roots." While referring to Riff Raff. dude is in character forever. stuck in the matrix
hes just a guy having fun and just enjoying life to the fullest it seems man cant hate on someone who is just living life having a good ass time makes everyone laugh man
Can it not just be who he is and not an act I mean he is in the same way Jim Carry is or Seth Rogan or Kevin Hart he's an all around goofy guy and makes a living off of it.
People just like to feel like they are saying something important when they talk shit. Like they're making an impact. Or going against the grain. It's how they get their ounce of gratification for the day. Either way it doesn't matter because he's still gonna do his thing no matter how many salty fucks talk shit about him online.
When riff raff frestyles serious, he does his Fat Pat style and he's one of the hardest outta Houston, he freestyles like because it's more memorable and is more fun for him
