Man I have always wanted to see how this is done amazing. I learned so much just seeing this machine worked it answered tons of questions. I wonder if they make kits of these rifle machines?

I've tinkered off and on with rifling my own barrels, but never thought to make one with the Gain Twist like his machine is set up to do.

What does the cutter look like? Is it a stone with a spring or an actual cutter? This is really cool

Was the same technique used for cannon rifling in muzzle loaders? If so, how did they avoid jamming on the return stroke?

I wish they would show the installation of the crown at the breech end of the new barrel.

This is a good system for progressive rifling.

I think your sine wave generator should be attached at the bottom to the same axis as the drill is on to give a perfect sign wave. but no one said the flutes had to be a perfect twist either. Probably work with out it.

One at a time, if you notice he indexes the cutting tool to the next position, then cuts the next groove.

I can see how it works - except how he changes the length of the barrel rifling remains unclear..?
