Rig Rundown: Buddy Miller 

No offense to the other interviewers on the Rundowns, but this fella did an outstanding job with an outstanding musician. One of in not THE best RR's. Thank you for this!

This is the first time I have seen an interview with Buddy Miller. I admire how humble he is. A tremendous artist...!

"I listen for a living..." Boom, there it is...The first time I heard Buddy was on the Emmy Lou album, 'Spyboy' and 'Deeper Well' was the cut that sold it for me...what a sound and musical force. Thanks PG for this one. Well Done~!

Buddy is the only country guy I listen to. He takes all the bullshit out of country music and puts beauty and soul in its place, an incredible feat.

when he was showing the pickups of the first guitar, it was legit the best thing I've ever heard. That vibrato on the amp is nuts

I'd like to say I've known about Buddy Miller forever but it's only been a few years since I became aware of his presence in so much of the music I like. Now I look for him in everything I hear/see. I have been interested in that (Italian) guitar of his ever since the first article I read about him and his music. I have learned what a genius he is and I have now confirmed to myself what I have always suspected with this interview that he is a genuinely good guy. I will listen with even more appreciation from this day forward. Great interview guys!

Recently discovered Buddy Miller on his "Nashville" gig with Christina Aguilera doing "Shotgun." Now I'm finding him and his stuff wherever I can. What a terrific musician and person. He just emanates quality.

Buddy is one of my faves; great song writer, great singer, great guitarist, great producer/engineer. His presence has graced some of my favorite music, so thanks for featuring him. Regarding position markers with capos, it would be sooooo easy to add LED position markers to the side of the neck that could be easily shifted to accommodate a capo. Just sayin'

I must say this is THE BEST episode of PG Rig Rundown I have seen. When an interviewer is knowledgeable and also well-prepared, magic like this happens.

I met buddy one day by accident in Nashville. I stopped into gruhn guitars which is a must every time I go there. I walked in and there is one of my all-time guitar heroes dropping off that old 00 to get worked on. He was just as cool and approachable as he appears in this interview.

Great interview- I’ve been a fan of Buddy and Julie since their days of living in East Texas in the early 80’s. He was the guitarist at a church I went to. He was as nice then as he is in this interview. 🙏He’s a musician’s musician!

Buddy is the real deal. Killer player, writer, producer and radio star. The Buddy and Jim (Lauderdale) show is the best thing on the (satellite) radio. I enjoyed his shoutout to Scott Baxendale in Athens. If you're in the area, stop in and see what magic he is doing with these underappreciated guitars

Best rig rundown ever! How about a thin LED strip down the side of the neck that's switchable to "move the dots" when you capo? You could put the switch on the battery box and tape or velcro it on the back of the headstock. That's the only way I can think of that doesn't involve modifying your instruments. It would also help you see in low light situations. Just a thought!

Buddy is a funny guy and he really seems down to earth. I only heard of him through watching him play with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. I wanted to know who he was. Fantastic guitar player and singer.

I always remember seeing this guy playing on stage with Emmylou Harris and getting great tone from his interesting looking Wandre Guitars - Antonio Vandrè Pioli made and one that he's holding in this video back in the 90's era, I also read in his interview that he pour super glue into the neck of his guitar to stabilized it don't know if that's true or not
