you all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Marcus Blaze i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I really love this band, they're one of my favorites , I wished you would have included Andy, but It was cool anyway, I play bass and sing and these guys really inspired me and they inspire the sound of my band , thanks for interviewing them, I love watching my favorite bands show their gear
True. Every time I just bring up the name First Act my friends react as if they suck or they're just good for beginners but not for serious, skilled musicians. Which is true. First Act should have their custom guitars and other instruments under a completely different brand but keep the beginner guitars with the same brand so their reputation won't be as bad.
I'm not big fan of devil wears prada but i enjoy the gear talk. this was one of the best vids you folks did. i think it was because the interviewer actually knew his shit!
I'm sitting here watching and thinking "hmmm...I wish the interviewer knew more." Perhaps he knows a lot, but it seemed like he barely knew about their gear or what it does apart from some names of important/big products.
To clear things up. First act had a custom shop at one point with actual luthiers (however you spell it) from fender and Gibson but due to changes on the business side they got rid of it.
Not a huge fan of Devil's or Bring Me the Horizon but those have been some of my favorite rundown recently. Also major props to Perry. I enjoy how he conducts the interviews. Seems to make the interviewees act more relaxed and honestly it makes me want to listen to these dudes. Excellent job!
I was at Glow In The Dark Studios where they recorded their last album tracking drums for my local band and i looked over and saw a POG 2 sitting on a shelf with tape on it that said "dead throne" and i kinda fanboyed cause im assuming they left it there...i really wanted to steal it...
I really wish they interviewed Andy, they don't interview the bass players in alot of videos, but being a bass player , I would love to know what everyone uses, especially Andy because I love The Devil Wears Prada
I dont even play bass but it is still interesting to me. Having said that, it is probably just guitar and amp. I know he uses first act custom basses and orange amps if that helps
Lauren Marie Yea when I first heard of their custom shops, I was like what? I know a few people who owned them, its sucks they closed. The people who were the luthiers were ex-gibson
I didn't know Mike Hranica played guitar let alone a First Act. 0.0 And as soon as Jeremy starts talking about his pedal board I feel like the interviewer is lost lol. It's okay I am too. I know some stuff but I'm definitely not a gear nerd yet.

I have a question and if someone could help please do! that black ibanez arz has two pickups and no switch, just a volume pot. does somebody know are both pickups on all time or is only the bridge connected and the neck is only there for esthetics?

So it's like I said...like a one pickup guitar with a volume knob. Thanks
I don't think any actual guitarist gives a shit about either of those bands. just get a generic jcm 800 copy and scoop the mids with a warlock or something and you basically have bvb. trade the warlock with an esp and you have falling in reverse.
Pre amps, Peavey, line 6, axe fx, Ibanez, fx pedal. 12 gauge, tubes. Am I cool yet? Probably not. One day I will play guitar as good as Lil wayne then I will be god!!!
He probably only uses the bridge. I always wondered that with Jack from all time low, he's got a couple guitars that have both pickups but the pickup selector taken out or knobs covered up, etc.
I cringe each time the interviewer reaches and grabs their guitars. Especially the third guy who says "yeah you can hold it..." after he already grabbed it. If he tried that with my gear I might kick him off the stage. Lol.
First Act makes a lot of very, very good guitars. Listen again and you'll hear that their First Act guitars are all custom, one-off guitars. Sure, First Act's beginner guitars may suck (which clouds the company's reputation) but they do indeed make very good products.
Tape delay or Tap tempo delay, im maybe wrong but the point is that the empress tape delay is one of the better tape delays that are in market why he want to change for some expensive product of JHS
Well obviously because he personally likes it better. That's what separates a real guitarists from someone who plays guitar. There is no better, only different things for different uses. You should learn that.
The second guitarist is desperate to get across that he plays in other projects too. "Yaaa you knowwww not for pradaaa yknowwww" we get it, you're not wholly content playing in one band. Well done.
To be fair to him, as he goes on it's nice to see that he keeps everything he uses regardless of who he's playing with on one board. I'm drunk. Shut up.
some things make me question their actual faith in Jesus, in one of their songs it says "The blood relationship creates a wicked demise" when the blood relationship = eternal life the OPPOSITE of wicked demise. And in Hey John Whats Your Name Again He says "Salvation lies within" when it obviously lies within Jesus, not yourself. , Then they adopt traingle, and Mike Hranica has an upside down pentagram brand for foot pedal?????? I think they are one of those wolf in sheeps clothing Christian bands but idk for sure.... however my first example is pretty crazy.
Not really...it's a great idea if one is playing hard during a show. The gunk can wash easily and the guitar can easily be cleaned up to look brand new. Keeps things from getting scratched, too!
Mastodon and High On Fire both play First Act Guitars or at least they did for awhile. So, that's PRETTY metal. P.S. They are probably the custom, expensive ones too.
Make no mistake, First Act's custom guitars are fucking bitchin'. It's like they use most of the money they make off Wal Mart to make a handful of awesome guitars.
I'm sure they are fine guitars, but I think most chuckle a bit when you see someone playing a First Act guitar. I am an old school metal head and not into the Devil Wears Prada etc, so I just don't relate. Charvel, Ibanez, Kramer and Gibson's are more my speed.
Firelock I don't get this group either, but High on Fire and Mastodon are way more old school. Those Mastodon guys have a huge collection of 70s and 80s Gibson's, Silverburst Flying V's and LP Customs, E2 and Artist CMT Explorers, RD's, etc. Bill even has his own signature Goldburst Explorer. Brent just needed a 12 string in the style of a Yamaha SG, and the First Act guys built it up for him. He also has a killer plexilglass flying v with a vibrola and an aluminum neck built by some guys that are doing Travis Bean reissues and customs out of Pensacola, Florida.
