I am loving #PastaWeek , my 6 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoy your videos and many of your recipes have become staples. She will eat anything "Byron makes." God bless! :)
Can you do some videos on different ways to cook quinoa? I recently found out I have to go gluten free and would love to see videos on options for that! Love the videos :)
I really like to reserve a little of the salted, starchy pasta water and add it to my sauce. I think it really melds everything together a little better, and adds a silky mouth feel!
I love all of your recipes! Especially all of the #PastaWeek recipes that you have made so far. You should make a Pizza video, your take on the dough, sauce, and fresh toppings!
I was already planning on making pesto this weekend for my family along with one of the macaron recipes you posted and then you posted the pesto recipe! Awesome. Thank you, Byron!
Thank you for the recipe Byron! I will be making this tomorrow! I made your spaghetti and meatballs last night and my family loved it! My dad even liked it and he's Mexican and doesnt like trying anything other than Mexican food! I've always loved your recipes but now that my dad liked it, that's a bigger accomplishment! Thank you so much! You should try Mexican food week!
I have been using Ramsay and Oliver's channels for my cooking, but honestly after discovering yours, I can confidently say you are a great cook, I like the cleanness, the organisation, you don't use a lots of space and you make it soo easy and efficient, 10 out 10
Looks amazing. I love to cook but my husband works a crazy schedule which makes it hard to schedule and cook the way I really like too. Love watching your channel and getting the recipes and ideas you show that are quick and easy to do fabulous meals for 2 or just for me and it still looks like I have some skill in the kitchen. I forgot to mention I love to eat also, lol.
I've just discovered my market carries fresh mozzarella pearls and I was thinking it might be appropriate to add a few to this dish. Love some caprese!
Yes! I'm definitely trying this out. =) I've been obsessed with pesto for the past month or so. I haven't tried making it myself, so fingers crossed! ^_^
Hey, Byron, if I wanted to add some chicken breast to this dish, how would you recommend I season the chicken, as not to take away from the pesto? Thanks.
***** That was my initial thought, too, but for some reason I felt the pepper (and the salt to a lesser degree) wouldn't complement the pesto for some reason.
Yet another recipe of yours that I have to try!!! Question: Byron Why do you always coat the pasta in olive old after draining it? Does adding the oil to the water while boiling the pasta do the same thing... Would love your advice from one food lover to another!!!
It stops the pasta sticking together and I find it stops it from drying out, the same when cooking I add oil to the pan to stop the pasta from sticking to the bottom :)
I bought a ton of pine nuts while I was in Dubai, and I've been looking for a recipe that uses them, and this looks perfect! I can wait to make this :)
I know this video is from '14, but dude..you forgot to add Lemon to your Pesto. The addition of Lemon Juice would totally enhance and make the Basil/Parm/Pine Nuts sing with flavor! The charred Cherry Tomatoes do look nice amongst the vivid green hue of the Pesto. Who doesn't love Rigatoni! One of my favorite types of pasta.
Hi Byron!! First of all I want to say that I love your channel and all yor recipes!! Very inspiring! Then this PastaWeek is amazing!!! I'm Italian and I wuold probably eat pasta three times per day, he he! Anyway, I'm not a chef but when I make pasta I usually drain the pasta keeping some pasta water and add it in the skillet with pasta and the sauce of the moment. I do that because the starchy water helps to create a wonderful creamy sauce!! If the pesto has enough oil you can skip this step but I think it's better not to. Maybe try it :). At the end I?d love to see a GnocchiWeek!!! :D
Not really a traditional Pesto, but looks great. Heads up keep the good work coming. Try some anchovis and lemon in your next pesto. It helps to lift it to a whole new level ;) Cheers
I always like the video before watching!! And never regretted it, I am always sure that your videos are great with new ways to make different kinds of food! Keep up the good work! P.s. ( could I avoid using wine when trying some of your recipes?)
I love this dish! I serve it most of the time with some crispy bacon or smoked chicken. I'm a huge fan of you and your wife hahaha. Make-up and food are both my hobby :)
I combined your recipe with benjimantv's version. It was delicious!! I could do without the tomatoes tho. But soooooo good. I have a feeling it's going to be added to my list of regulars.
This looks so good. Too bad i can't have cheese :( Is there a way to make pesto without the dairy? The ones I found at the grocery didn't taste all that great. Also what can you do with mint sauce? I bought some and I have absolutely no idea how to use it- typical of me really.
