I love how your podcast is truly the “Pakistan Experience” because you bring such diverse voices from Pakistan. Don’t live there now but always learn so much about bright new voices emerging. We need this!
Woh bechari itni politely as a journalist btaa rahi hai k 2018 was not same, results are too rigged and really telling shahzad that "Bhai tu bohat hee biased hai" ... And typical shahzad saying nahi but Asia pehley Bhai hua tha for every single argument....as always
As an Afghan, I am saying that Pakistanis have so much potential, but they are held hostage by the duffer army... Pakistani should put the generals in the baracks, like India. Pakistan is the first country to have a female PM. Even if she came by army support, I am talking about the people who accepted her. The indian and the Afghans hatred for Pakistan is because of the Pak Army policies. Otherwise, people from these two countries love the Pakistani people because we are all the same and from the same region.
I am sorry you as a afghani may like Pakistanis. But as a Hindu I don't want any bilateral relations with Pakistanis. They are free to live there life in there own territory, as Pakistanis have institutionalized the communal hatred regarding Hindus in there society . So it is impossible for me to not see a common pakistani as a threat to my people .
As an Indian I don't want any bilateral relations either on the diplomatic level nor through the civilian interaction . I can understand why afghani people has a close allegiance with the pakistanis, the most probable reason is the religion. I don't sympathize or empathize with the pakistani public . These people have institutionalized the hindu hatred inside there society. So I don't appreciate any people to people interaction. They have there own nation , and I would like to see them as a separate nation , period .
Its not about enough or not enough. Its about the real stats which all the media channels shown that PTI had 150 seats in the earlier results. And also according to the form 45, they have 160 to 179 seats
I come on this podcast to counter my notions that Pakistan is done for and there’s no one interesting left there. It never disappoints. Keeping all biases aside, I think you guys have resilience and a good sense of humour even in the face of hopeless adversity and that just might help you guys recover and progress some day, hopefully soon. Best wishes.
Absa Komal on Geo News is a different kind of excelllent and Absa Komal on this podcast blew my brains out. What an intelligent, smart and eloquent women with a good sense of humor. Really loved listening to this. Do more of these with Asma Shirazi, Shahzeb Khazada and Aleena Farooque Sheikh. Would love to see all mainstream media people on this platform. Good work Shehzad,

Hey Shazzy, bro, thank you very much for introducing me to this lady. What an amazingorator. She reminds me of an old friend at university. I will try to follow her. I just heard the whole episode two times because the girl was flawlessly amazingly articulated. You are introducing to me the side of Pakistan that I did not know existed and therefore my opinion for your country is changing because of your work. Carry on buddy.
Too good. I loved this podcast. Thanks both of u for sharing insight, point of view, and your knowledge. And I love the fact. Our women came out for vote. Bangladesh is a remarkable example of how women's participation in the economy can drive significant growth and development. Empowering women economically not only benefits them individually but also contributes to the overall progress and prosperity of society. Highlighting the role of women in both the economy and culture is crucial for fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.
@@Shrimpspiration What you need to understand is that Zardari, NS, IK, The Judiciary, they're all part of the establishment, aka the exploitative class. The main actor in this instance is the military. The ruling classes are just fighting over the spoils. They give as many F's about you and me as a chicken farming family gives about the 2 million chickens in their farm. They fight over who gets how much from the chicken. They chickens think some of the people fighting are on "their side" :-) ... welcome to the farm brother!
Dear Shahzad, I have been a fan of your podcast for quite some time now. I really enjoy the kind of content that you bring to us. I must also admit that you are one of those real ones who ask the ‘real’ questions that we seek answers to. That being said, please stop this constant rambling that you get a lot of hate on social media. We, the viewers do accept that your counter questioning and fact based inquiry does provoke those lesser informed (ignorant) ones but keep up the good work, you are really appreciated for the quality of discourse that you bring our way. Please note that it is quite annoying when you interrupt the guests mid way and shove it down our throats that you get a lot of abuse on twitter/X. Being on the receiving end of abuse on social media is nothing to flaunt or showboat. So far I have not gone past a single podcast in which you haven’t mentioned “muje twitter pay itni gaalian parti hain”. Please stop it, it is seriously embarrassing once one starts noticing (and trust me one does start noticing considering the frequency of your repeated assertions of getting hate). Thank you
Is it only me who think Shehzad was making needlessly silly jokes about Javed Ch. medicine and his prog.” کھڑا سچ”? Very gracefully responded by Absa. 😊
Seeing your recent Podcasts interviewing Journalists has made me appreciate and respect them more. Not only that, there is certainly place for credible print media. Thanks for this podcast.
There would have been no confusion if they had allowed EVM (Electronic voting machine) as Imran Khan wanted. There is no margin for error and results are announced within no minutes.
ECP did issue a very logical report, rejecting the idea of EVMs. The main objective being the cost and technically difficult to use for illiterate people, bla bla
Hey Shahzad! great podcast man! and about pakistani's being lazy, I totally understood what she meant! Since you brought up europeans in the conversation eventually, I'm living here and I kid you not I felt like most of us upper-to-lower middle class people are too lazy! its about the lifestyle man, do you see people bringing their junk to bin? they are collected from inside the house often! we dont do our chores, we have painters to paint walls, maids to clean, plumbers to fix a leak etc etc, people here do all those things including unblocking their drains, and they are much better with time-management in everyday life ofcourse.
The host is biased. He is clearly against Imran khan. Imran khan has done great things for the people of Pakistan. Imran has also committed blunders i.e siding with generals even when Bloch and Pukhtuns were screaming about the enforced disappearances. He hired the chief election commissioner and gave extension to Bajwa. He gave high offices to buzdar, Khattak and Mahmood khan. The host should be fair though. He should criticize Imran for his wrong doings. He should praise Imran for his great deeds.

Great show! Refreshing candor, decency, common sense, and impartiality on display. I couldn't help but think about your interview with Talat Husain. In contrast to Absa, he was rude, obnoxious, dishonest, recalcitrant, and outright insufferable. One of the worst analogy he offered was when he compared the law and order situation in the US with that in Pakistan. I mean, really? What are you smoking? And then to add insult to injury he would pig-headedly defend the indefensible. It was telling when he said to Shehzad " You call yourself a journalist." What a bitter, toxic person. So, Absa really came across as utterly charming and endearing!
I liked that line; Shehzad '' if its printed in The Dawn; then its true''. I concur. In India; its Indian Express and The Hindu that stood against the establishment and reported fair. Your guest has spunk and i wish Absa Komal well. On counting day i was watching The Raftar channel and the numbers that were displayed were shared on social media by prominent analysts in India too. When both social and main stream media is driven by bias; what is left? In times of bluster and whatsapp; truth becomes the conspiracy. And yet; truth aint democratic either!! Thanks my friend for this video and do bring Najam Sethi and Hamid Mir on your show.
My humble opinion Shehzad, Don't use some of these jokes in front of female guests. She looked uncomfortable especially during that Javed Chaudry part, and it leaves a bad taste for the audience too. I don't know how close your friendship is but in the absence of that context thats how I as an audience felt.
There is a classic dichotomy in Pakistan - the armed forces arer the savior and also hated. As a foreginer I would say that let the democracy results play and let the independents or PML N or PTI figure out what next and not a defunct ECP and the armed forces who clearly are not capable of providing direction. The armed forces should consider their professional duties in their westerm and eastern borders rather than focus on Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif
Love Absa. Such a soft spoken person. Still watching the podcast but Absa I live in the US and in order to help gather move people for pro Palestine protests, myslim community is helping with transportation and arranging buses. So just because biryani and buses are provided, it's also to make them get out of the house which is zaroori. Secondly, Shehzad she meant 'laid back' not lazy. Etna b nae puche paro.
don;t be a dhimmi, buddy.. is mote ne twitter par bhot bakwaas kar rakhi hai.. ye paki paise k liye apni maa ko bhi bech sakte hain.. this guy, and his amigo, that speco baldy, are no different.
the guest herself says that according to trends pti seats are around 120/130 and then she said it could be more that than 130 not to mention this is just her estimation doesnt mean pti's estimates are wrong laikin nahi shehzad sahab ka apna bias zaroor ana ha andar, or sedha samjh lia or likh dia pti robbed of 20/25 seats, wadera loving sindhi nationalist pro maxism and lastly for majority u need 134 not 136
Nawaz gave laptop scheme and gave motorways and roads for easy travelling But look at our people who voted for imran only for a baseless purpose Our priorities should be development and progress not the religios factors because has built Pakistan on islam now move forward
Such an amazing podcast. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I love shehzad and what he says but recently I was thinking that may be I am too getting baised again. The way Absa counter Shehzad on a lot of points with facts was so refreshing. Absa was brilliant, strong, and amazing. Really enjoyed this ❤
Engaging and meaningful discourse, but I don't solely attribute the country's issues to social media. Throughout history, both print and TV media worldwide have often shown bias. Unlike today's social media, past media was controlled by the elite. As time progresses, social media will likely mature. I personally endorse its potential. Your guest brought energy to the discussion, but it seems she grapples with balancing her inner values and the demanding reporting environment. This struggle is common for inherently good individuals. Her upbringing likely played a role, and I am sure her parents are very proud of her. I am delighted to see how Pakistan's youth is getting involved. Consider changing the chair; she seemed a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps opt for a cozy sofa for future guests.
Super impressed by Absa's thorough analysis of the whole election process and the rigging afterwards. She literally made that humpty-dumpty look like a clown with her facts based analysis. While the host was trying his best to extract something in favour of Nawaz league this whole two hours, faking to be an intellectual. 😂
Both criticising every wrong and everyone but calling zardari actual politician is how bad our moral values have become ……. People who sell themselves are called Lota and man who is best in buying Lotas is called best politicians 😅 and even these educated people have accepted this illegal practice tells how bad our moral values are
Even results were changed where more than 90% polling stations results were already announced by various media channels. Like in Reehana dar case 98% result was announced by most of major channels and she was winner. But suddenly channels were instructed near 12 am to stop announcing. After 4 am again results started coming completely opposite to those announced earlier.
