Loved this video! I hope that technicians can finally stop "redesigning" what engineers designed. Trust me, we follow standards and use safety factors!! This video shows what happens when you decide to be creative!!
Thank you for this post!!! For some organisations rules are beneficial in improving safety and I suspect that these groups will continue to double up their plates. While it reduces the carabiner strength, this would not create a safety concern. I have never used double rigging plates but understand that simplifying redundancy rules has it's advantages.
