this is so useful, I watched this for my apprenticeship training. I didn't even know there was such thing as an NHS trust for housing.

Totally unfair that right to buy has a much bigger discount than right to acquire for what results in the same thing

I've been waiting on this government to live up to their promise of extending the right to buy discount to housing association tenants. Nothing but lies, I'll be making my voice heard at the next general election!!!

Really unfair that Right to Acquire Scheme came after March 1997 - my mums been living in herd for over 27 years and was told she can’t but it!

What are the restrictions applied to the buyer, if the seller is selling out the council house through right to buy letter and to the open market? Is there any obligation applied to the open market buyer from council after the purchase?

Hello what's the difference between help to buy and right to buy?

I was told my home isnt avail;abl;e under the right to aquire even though it meets the criteria. I wanted to buy cash.

Iam applying to buy my council flat and I meet all the criteria except that Iam in the process of buying another private flat. How to structure this purchase to consider as investment and pay stamp duty so its not my main home.

If the right to buy discount is awarded to mum and dad and then son or daughter buys the flat. (Dad and son go into a joint tenancy) Can the 50/50 ownership be challenged to a different amount of ownership between the two parties based one how much discount was awarded and to who? ie: parents were awarded 3/4 of the value of the house through right to buy and son/daughter purchased the 1/4 through a mortgage.. can the joint tenancy be challenged to 1 1/4 and 3/4 ownership?
