RTI is the fundamental right of every citizen of our country. This act was passed in 2005. As the act clears 'Right to Information', every citizen has right to know about the work of govt. Recently govt has proposed RTI amendment bill in which govt wants to change in its features like tenure, wage, working pattern and pension of the Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner. But all these would not give good result in knowing about the working of govt. Public will not be able to be informed about the working of central govt. Bcz the CIC and IC, all will work under the central govt. All their wage and pension is dependent on govt. Even govt has not fixed any accurate wage of these commissioners. In my opinion, their working should not be in hands of central govt. It will not bring transparency among govt's work. There will be more chances of curreption. Thank you sir. JAI HIND 🇮🇳

@@yogeshyadav3987 RTI act given the power to common citizen. For The RTI whole country united and created a wave to know the progress of government policy. But what will happen if the top officials of the RTI board is not independent. We will find the same level of corruption in RTI report for which we had united. Why not give power to common citizen to decide the salary of the MLA, M.P. . Let CIC and their body be independent to give any kind of report. This is what when power is given to a group of people. Power should not be centralised it should be decentralised. Jai hind.

इसीलिए बहुमत इतना भी नही देना चाहिए कि कोई बिल बिना किसी डिबेट के पास हो जाये और उसमें हज़ारो गलतियां हो। कम से कम विपक्ष को इतनी सीट तो दे देते लोग की एक मजबूत विपक्ष का नेता बन जाता हमेशा भर के वोट नही देना चाहिए भले किसी की सरकार बने..... लोगों का क्या है जब प्रज्ञा साध्वी जैसे लोग सांसद बन सकते है तो कुछ भी हो सकता है।

@@vickytinta i didn't talked about bjp ruining the nation, they are degrading "RTI" by saying that it's not constitutional as election commission...and they want to amend it bring it under central govt who will decide their salary and even pension related things...and which officer (majority of cases) will be completely transparent against govt( in case any) because their future will be in government's hand and no one will want to ruin their future as they will be soon retiring or retired before joining ICI. Which won't be good for nation..I don't know what provision they will include to make it better but seeing the salary and pension things it seems somewhat awkward.

Video is very good. It explains everything in a neutral manner. Also we can see the pros and cons of a majority government. This government can dispose off much more work because of their majority in parliament, but we cannot control whether all the acts/bills/laws made in parliament will help the people of this country in getting a better life. Moreover, the government is slowly controlling all the independent bodies which helps in smooth functioning of various sectors of economy, be it CBI, RBI, ECI etc. I think that a coalition government is the best form of government which will give all the members of parliament powers to put up their point and make a bill which will be approved by all, not some majority holding, power hungry people.

as always, awesome explaination sir... the point is that will not these types of amendments which reduce the powers of the statutory bodies, will lead to the practise of a parallel autocracy or dictator ship in near future ??? This will/can become an example for more such amendments for future Governments in India.Other independent institutions can also be brought under alternations,whenever there will be a gov. of absolute majority and thus ...the trend will start.

The RTI law has been a breakthrough in creating mechanisms and platforms for the practice of continual public vigilance that are fundamental to democratic citizenship. It has always been a constant challenge to the misuse of power, a threat to arbitrariness, privilege, and corrupt governance. The RTI has been used to question every public institution on matters of public interest like the Reserve Bank of India, the Finance Ministry, on demonetisation, non-performing assets, the Rafale fighter aircraft deal, electoral bonds, unemployment figures, the appointment of the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) etc. Importance of RTI can be ascertained from the fact that nearly 60 lakh RTI applications are being filed every year. The information related to decision-making at the highest level has in most cases eventually been accessed because of the independence and high status of the Information Commission. It has been acknowledged that one of the most important structural constituents of any independent oversight institution, i.e. the CVC, the Election Commissioners (CEC), the Lokpal, and the CIC is a basic guarantee of tenure.
