I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. He owns this song. No auto tunes just pure raw talent! RIP Bobby ❤❤❤
My wife and I fell in love dancing to that song. We are baby boomers. That song was in our era as teenagers. And her and I are still together to this day. Over 50 years of happiness and love. That was our song. It was even played at our wedding. We danced that song.
Well.....I was born on the 15th December 1965. Given that this performance aired on Valentine's day 1965, I have a fairly good idea of what was playing in the background while I was conceived! 😂
I got to see them live in the 1966. I'm 75 and it is still my all time favorite. Funny story In 1969 I listened to that song on a cassette while I drove to Mexico and ended up getting married t midnight in a jail in Mexico. Thnks for playing it for me.
His beautiful sound was known in the 60's as "blue-eyed soul". His voice draws out emotions now, almost 60 years later, as much as it did then. Your reaction is priceless!!!
Single?? I can’t believe it as you’re far too beautiful a woman to be single!! Great review by the way, Bobby’s still breaking hearts after these sixty years, R.I.P. Bobby🙏
This song has sweet and sad memories, my brother was buried on his 50th birthday. His coffin was brought into the church with unchained melody playing and when he was being lowered into the ground a friend of his played this on his guitar whilst being lowered. That was 2001 and it took me years to listen to this song it made me cry just thinking about my brother. Now I still think of that the day with ❤️❤️❤️
This was my mom and dad's song. My dad was in the US Navy for 27 years. Their first 20 years of marriage was spent with him at sea on aircraft carriers (he was a fighter pilot). It spoke to them of their time apart, her raising 4 kids on her own while he was gone, each missing each other. They are dancing together in heaven to this song.
I was a teen when Bobby sang this on the Andy Williams show... the women then swooned with the emotion & romance... now it is nearly sixty years later and Bobby is still causing women to swoon with emotion & romance! I suspect that sixty years from today, women will still react the same. Have to say I really enjoy seeing the newer generations appreciate the music we grew up with.
🥰 i am glad you enjoyed it, it is my journey to delve into both the good and the ugly of history that wasn’t taught in schools! And comments like this keep me going🤧 thank you 🥹🥰
The incomparable Counter Tenor voice of the late great Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers. No one has sung this song better then when Bobby Hatfield sang this song (58) years ago back in (1965), on the Andy Williams Show. This version has become the quintessential version of them all. Artist since 1965 has used this version by Bobby Hatfield ever since. This is probably the greatest (live) television performance in history. Generations to come will come enjoy this live version of "Unchained Melody" by Bobby Hatfield and the NBC Studio Orchestra of the "Andy Williams Show." Brilliant! Love your reaction. It was quite sweet and real.
@@Nostalgicsensation You are very welcome. This song was composed by Alex North with Lyrics by Hy Zaret for the Prison Movie "Unchained (1955). Ten years later in (1965) Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers would do a studio version that would become a top ten hit. His studio version would be used in the 1990 movie "Ghost." It would become again a number one hit in Europe and the USA. This live version would go on to surpass his studio version and would forever be known as the greatest (Live) television performance ever. The rest as they say is history.
This is Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers. Have you seen them perform together. Try "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" . It the most listened to song of the 20th Century! Love me some Righteous Brothers ❤❤❤❤❤

😅 you’re so young… could be my granddaughter 😊… we used to listen in the radio or vynil and allways dancing cheek to cheek…. nice romantic times. Your’re listening to the most iconic singer of the 60’s , Bobby Hatfield, they aren’t really brothers. this song was written to a prison film of 1955. But this brother owned it and received a Grammy Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal ! the song reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 14 in the UK in 1965. No wonder you feel so emotional. Now …. if you listen to the torrid I wanna make love to you 🔥 from the other brother Bill, don’t do it alone 😂 get some intimate company 💞

Very Good Young Lady... Love your emotions.... If you have a world map to track your viewers. Stick a Pin In Cape Town, South Africa. We live in Somerset West, but I work at Hospital in Cape Town 30 miles away. And an hour away. Decided to look on youtube. A few minutes. so glad I did. Will be back for more. Blessings to you. Siriah....
I just discovered your channel. You are fantastic!!! You should check out Led Zeppelin. They're the 5th biggest selling musical act of all time (behind only Michael Jackson at #4, Garth Brooks at #3, Elvis Presley at #2, and of course, The Beatles at #1). Led Zeppelin can surely help you build up your subscription base. I would start with 2 songs. The first is a song called "Stairway to Heaven" and it's on the album Led Zeppelin IV. The 2nd song is called "Since I've Been Loving You" and it's on the album Led Zeppelin III. Please react to the official audio studio recordings and not the live recordings (at least for now). Led Zeppelin were very improvisational, and the only way to truly appreciate the magic within their songs the first time hearing them is to hear the studio recordings first. You're beautiful, you have an awesome personality, and I subscribed! Peace
Oh my God! 😭😭😭😭😭😭 thank you so much!!! 🥹🥰😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🫂🤗🫂🫂🫂 rhis absolutely made my day! Thank you so much for the support! I will definitely check them out! Kindly turn on your notification bell so you get notified when I do 🥹❤️❤️
