You make excellent top quality products! I have the SUV Tent, 2 roof top water proof bags(The Grey ones) and the jumbo black dry sacks! All top notch! I highly recommend!!! Thanks!
Attach to the windshield wipers ???!!!! Lmao! Uh. You cant’t be serious. I like some of the other products. But… attach to the windshield wipers…? That’s a good one. I’m still laughing. You should immediately delete this video and redo the instructions. Unless… Wait !! What if the wiper attachment is actually designed to prevent you from driving off with the tent attached!!! If that’s the case, then it’s pure genius ! I guess i’ll have to buy one to test it. ! And you tricked me into cleaning the rear of the vehicle ! Wth ? Get out of my head !
I'm researching SUV tents now...this is one of the more popular ones. The knocks on this particular tent seem to be....The mesh sleeves for putting the poles in (poles catch a lot and the sleeves tear) and to me the door is on the wrong side of the tent (Most campsite setups and camper doors are on the passenger side). Has anyone experienced this tent in rainy conditions ? Thanks
Never had one, but it seems to be a common problem that these are not meant for rain. the way is see it is most suv/cars when the boot door is open water from the room runs down the channel of the side of the boot and is designed to run off at the bottom on to the bumper and then fall to the ground. There lays the problem with these tents in heavy rain, the tent goes under the boot towards the back wheel which means the water running from the car roof drips down the boot door channels on to the boot and instead of running off down to the ground it runs straight into the tent.
only tent that survived South Dakota thunder and lighting storm.....60 mph at the campground....sirens did not sound seek block bathroom safety....but we got into the back of the SUV and watched so many tents fail.....except ours...😇
I just got one... the tent is perfect. The poles absolutely suck. The metal couplers snag & make the process a real pain in the ass. With aluminum poles, this thing would be awesome. Like many others, I was unable to get the top pole in without cutting an inch off.
I hope oits not as bad as the napier one i bought. what a joke. Ive had trash bags better than this heap o junk. the zipper broke fist night, so i after rain and leaks i took it back. then the clerk looked at me as if i was a scam artist i said it was junk for that kind of money/.
We bought this tent a couple years, but thanks to COVID closing pretty much all the camping ares in our region, we are just this year returning to camping. We opened up the tent for the first time today, read the directions about a dozen times, and started to assemble the tent. one of the pockets that the roof pole fits into immediately ripped. We moved on with trying to attach this to the back of our Jeep Wrangler JKU. It didn't go well, as one of the straps on the "driver's side" of the canopy ripped completely out. Needless to say, it was a frustrating experience, and I feel like a waste of money, and unfortunately because we're well beyond the 1-year warranty from either Rightline and REI, we are S.O.L. Can we still use the tent as "just a tent" - yeah, of course we can. But I could've bought a much larger tent tent, with a full rain fly, for the price I paid for this. Rightline, if you've got any suggestions for me, please let me know. :(
Take the tent to a awning place that repairs tents and awnings placed and have them repaired it for you anything that ripped they be able to fix it up for you it doesn't cost that much either
@@thisguy5584 I am going to be trying it out in the next couple of weeks. I have had great customer service through RightLine. I have RightLine’s rooftop cargo bag and it’s fabulous. Enjoy!
It does come with a rain fly, from looking at other videos....So why would Rightline Gear produce a 'setup video' on this SUV tent, without showing how to install the rain fly ??
