The poetic Juxtapositon Scofield writes is about the whole theme of Law and Grace. Both Law and Grace deal with Sin. The one condemns it, the other pardons and forgives it. "The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more" (Romans 5:20)
@CrumpetCruncher I too was part of Hyper-D through Les Feldick. Despite it's errors, It was much better than the legalism I had fallen into. I don't know if you will ever pull Greg out of this, but perhaps u could try using tools other than the sledgehammer to reach people. Calling people Heretics will only get them angry at you. @jfrontier1 Just for the record, I disagree with Scofields believe in the Pre-trib rapture just like I disagree with the Amillenial, and Partilal-Preterist views of other great Christians in the past. @CrumpetCruncher I think we need to see past pesonal feuds and concentrate on the word of God. Our concern with Richard should mainly be his unconditional approval of Lordship Salvation people on RU-vid who make the Gospel a new set or laws to follow. And Richard knows this! His recent videos are nothing more than manpleasing suckup videos to keep 1689Papist happy.
@CrumpetCruncher I am sorry if things are sour between you and Bianca and Blogrich. I think Bianca had some valid points about Montys teaching, but I do not know if she went about it properly. As for Blogrich55, I agree he is wrong about Monty and Antinomianism, but I don't feel particularly in need to defend people who have ended talking with me and have blocked me. It's up to u to patch things up with Richard and Bianca.
I am just starting Scofield's 'Rightly Dividing...' but I have to say that contrasting grace against law, as if they were opposites, isn't 100% accurate in my humble opinion. The reason I say that is because people who lived exclusively under the law and the sacrificial system still relied on God's grace for forgiveness. And hypothetically if someone could live 100% of their life without breaking any law, if they do not worship God they are still in sin because they put the law ahead of God. So, at least by my human (flawed, no doubt) reasoning, grace is not the opposite of law, but instead underlies and supports the law.

@CrumpetCruncher (sigh) Dispensations are biblical Liz, Covenant theology is not. There is no mythological covenant of Works and grace in the garden of Eden, only in the head of creative reformed theologians. Sorry, they just aren't there.
